Milo dials Dan's number, his heart heavy with the news he has to share. After a few rings, Dan picks up.
"Hey, Milo! How's it going? Are you guys enjoying Byron, okay?" Dan asks, his voice full of energy.
Milo hesitates for a moment, unsure of how to deliver the news. "Dan, there's been a fire. Amy's beach shack burned down."
There is a moment of silence on the other end of the line as Dan processes the information. "Is Amy okay? Was anyone hurt?" he asks, his voice serious.
"No, no one was hurt, but Amy is devastated. She lost everything in the fire," Milo responds.
Dan lets out a heavy sigh. "That's terrible news. I'm so sorry to hear that. Please give Amy my condolences."
