Chapter 117 - Grotesque Flesh

I looked upon my arm the flesh having bubbled and full of pustules covered in burnt blackened flesh that once was the color of sand now charred and broken no longer smooth and full of chunks having be removed and now scars were all that left of what was once regular flesh. I looked at my other arm which was withered starved and forsaken. The arm was almost necrotic with its coloring but it could still move just like my charred arm.

-

My whole body was full of many wounds that I have had always at this point I no longer felt pain at all it was as if I no longer had pain receptors, and many would run from me. I looked like a monster and sometimes was shot on sight. I smiled looking upon their looks of fear I had always been talked down and hated even before the apocalypse due to my deformed and broken face. I was born without an eye and ear with very little hair and a almost squashed face that hit the uncanny valley.

-

I picked up the first person who struck my right bloated pustule filled arm of which the flesh molded arounds his blade never getting cut. I moved my left to his face and as I touched his face he began to scream feeling the pain of all the moisture being pulled from his body along with all signs of vitality turning him into a husk a literal mummy his corpse collapsed to the ground barely still held together.

-

I felt a blade go through my dead heart and I looked at hero my only friend with tears upon her eyes, but my face showed no memory of her as a rugged broken cracked laughter echoed on this desolate street. The viruses I had injected had long changed me along with peering into the void my mind was broken no longer a human I was now a monster with a semblance of humanity that allowed it to get close to its prey.

-

I broke her arm with a flesh tendril that extended out of my back. Her bones slowly snapped her heart began to pulse faster I could feel it her fear was finally here, so I left the sunshine upon my smile her face filled with a fearful grimace. I picked her up and tossed her away after all a hunt is much more fun than a simply slaughter the sacrifice of Flesh is growing. I impaled each of the others through with a tendril some withering away.

-

I smiled stacking the corpses in the center of the small settlement apparently, they knew I was coming, and most had evacuated. I smiled as the blood red eye dissolved the corpses into a blood pit so I left knowing monsters would come from the blood pit until it was exhausted after all I was the one who truly ended humanity this way as we were winning.

-

I ran after her picking up her scent running on all fours like a monster her scent filled with fear and hope meaning she was going to try and trap me so I'll give her more hope to make her feel even more despair when I kill her. I ran into the area where the trap was walls raising around me as acid poured in, I simply absorbed the acid through The Starving Rabid Flesh. I looked directly at her as my one eye was pierced by someone unseen my eye grew back instantly but my flesh was already shredded but I did not fear pain nor death.

-

I grabbed the robbed assassin and bit their head off which turned into a piece of world barely before I chomped down for, I tasted their blood. I heard him say "I doubted you that this thing was the cause of humanities fall but now I'm sure it caused them to die simply by its regeneration after all that's' the only threat it has." My eye expanded as I laid direct sight on him and since I wounded them he blew up in an explosion of gore no way to prevent it I than felt holy light try to harm me but instead it dissipated as if I didn't exist.

-

The blade the artifact of the god stabbed through my skull and images of my life flashed before my eye but I simply did not care and pulled the blade from my skull my brain slipping aloungside the blade sticking to it getting dragged out my skull I then crushed the blade with my tendrils as it exploded blowing my body to pieces my head rolling upon the ground toward my only friend she then said "I'm sorry I should have trusted you more after all you were just trying to stop the threat you saw when no one not even I believed you and you managed to kill that threat but in doing so you became something worse." Her blade shimmered golden with the blessing of a god.
