Johan was able to understand a little more about why the prison was called Hollowood.
There was no wood there, of course. Everything was made of stone and metal, giving the interior of the place a sterile, austere and vertiginous appearance.
But Johan was able to understand the reason for the first part of the word.
Hollow.
After the first gate, there was only a metal and stone bridge that connected the prison's entrance corridor to the interior itself.
Hundreds of meters beyond either side of that structure, however, were the prison walls, filled with cells.
And some of the inmates were calmly watching the new arrivals with binoculars.
Over the bridge, only the stone roof of that impossibly tall and large cube they called a prison.
Under the bridge, however...
Johan couldn't see the bottom.
There was only darkness and silence.
