Johan no longer had a watch, nor his smartphone to calculate the passage of time, so he had no idea how long it had been since the door of that huge elevator had closed and started its descent to wherever Johan would end up in that immeasurable abyss.
All he knew was that, according to his senses, it seemed to be about five or ten minutes since the elevator had started its descent.
And that machine still hadn't stopped.
"Surprising, isn't it?" Lauritz asked Johan, with a childish smile on his face.
'I'd better get used to it soon, before this kid goes from friendly to creepy. "Yeah, I guess... How long are we going to keep going down? Or rather... For how many more thousand meters?"
Lauritz let out a hearty laugh, slapping Johan on the thigh.
The slap hurt as if he had been punched.
