A sudden silence enveloped the entire basement as Devon glared into the determined face of his little sister, Sasha, and the challenge in Lewis'a eyes. The silence was complete, absolute and heavy with a choking tension, so that the blood of every being there gathered in the basement could be heard loud and clear, coursing through their veins, and their heart beats resounded through the space.
