"Have you gone mad?" Michael barked into Marcus' face. "Because of your recklessness, the Robertson sisters almost lost their lives! You were supposed to be guiding them, Marcus! But you were not there when the stray angels attacked them!" He howled at the top of his voice.
"I'm sorry." Marcus muttered quietly. His head was bowed, and his hands were linked timidly in front of him, in a show of penitence.
"You are sorry? You are sorry? If I hadn't gone to the sisters, if the stray angels had their way with them, if they had died yesterday, would you still be sorry? Tell me Marcus, Would you still be just sorry?" Michael cried. Marcus hesitated for a moment, then again he said.
"I'm sorry."
