He was seated across the table from Olivia, and all she could see of him in that moment, was his face highlighted by the blinding light that hung over the table. The rest of the room was covered in pitch darkness. So dark that Olivia could not even tell if someone was lurking in the corner. The prosecutor's fat, round face leaned closer into the light, and his small beady hard eyes glared into Olivia's face.
