Now say my name! The words echoed through the walls of a cave hidden behind a water fall leaving a deadly minute of silence followed by a mocking laughter.
"I would rather die than bow to a demon like you! Even if the gods where to command it I would rather perish" an old man chained to one of the many rocks around responded, his words interrupted by brief seconds of coughs that made more blood gush out of his nostrils.
"I gave you your chance now I have to send you and your family to your useless gods who do nothing but toy with the lives of humans." A loud sound could be heard followed by a flash of fire as the old man's head followed by two other females rolled over with blue blood flowing all the way into the waters and around their life less bodies which were clothed in the finest of gold knitted materials.
19 years earlier.
"Who's there? Show yourself! " A man commanded as he slowly approached the area he had heard a noise.
With no response and no one in sight he turned to leave when he sighted a silver snake trying to fight off three eagles with a small smirk he arrowed the birds in one shot. Slowly he approached the snake which seemed to be severely injured. He knew all too well that it wasn't in it's true form and he'll have to wait for it to recover for him to know what exactly it was. It could be from the snake clan but in over a thousand years a silver snake had not been born and even if one had been birthed it wouldn't have escaped his knowledge, he was king of the 7 realms so how could a vital information like this skip his senses?
Seeing as the once clear blue sky had started to darken he took the snake into the cawry beaded bag that lay across his broad well built chest that glistened with sweat. Despite been injured the snake tried to fight back.
"A fiesty one huh?" Emperor Kan muttered to himself as a smirk spread across his sharply defined facial features and deep into his emrade coloured eyes against his chocolate skin.
The emperor had fallen asleep inside the tent he made in the forest when his Yan lead him to wake up to the sound of footsteps, swiftly his sword was held against the neck of the silhouette that was few steps away from the entrance of the tent.
"Who at thou?!! " He commanded but his words were met with silence. He was a phoenix but having just gone through another rebirth he's aura wasn't as strong as usual, as such he could barely see in the dark. Curiously he approached the figure before him and with his left hand he brought forth a flame of fire and brought it to meet the face of his intruder... His lips became lost of words at the sight of the figure before him. The goddess like being before him had long red hair falling beautifully like the setting of the sun, her eyes grey with spirks of the ocean's blue, although he knew all too well the tales about never trusting a woman with grey eyes the reason why he had avoided taking in any concubines with grey eyes this one felt all too familiar too pleasing yet dangerous like the subtle hue of wine red on her thick small lips, her skin so pale he could see some of her veins and the mark on her neck....she was a demon! She had taken human form after recovering from her wounds.
He had known what she was right from the moment he held her unlike any wise person he hadn't slayed her as was the right thing to do knowing the nature of demons especially one like her which had a very strong lock around her premodial spirit.
Seeing his eyes she quickly brought out her fengs and a ball of fire to attack him but he dodged it, she resulted to use her fists buh he only ever blocked her attacks without attacking her getting tired and angry she proceeded to breath out fire from her mouth a move that took emperor Kan aback. Since when could demons shape shift to snakes and still control dragon fire abilities? He would be in doubt if he hadn't seen her lava like blood flow into the ground burning the dry leafs around where he had found her earlier so it was either she was a very high ranking demon that had cultivated and unlocked a secret tenet buh she seemed so young or she was a wondering demon that's lost it's primodial spirit but that was also impossible cause he could feel the strong lock around hers.
Taking advantage of her weakness he quickly sworn her against his body as he pressed the sword to her neck, he knew he had to destroy her soul to avoid her entering into the seven realms cause that would be a diaster.
As he was about to cut through her skin he sighted a couple of fire lamps surrounding his tent.
"It seems my stars have aligned with Venus this rebirth" Emperor kan muttered to himself as he dropped the demon's weak body on the ground and picked up his bow and arrow. In as much as he would like to use his powers he just had a rebirth and couldn't dare to endanger his spirit.
Before he's attackers could approach he had shot all of them not untill he felt a stab to his back and there was a well built soldier who's face although covered the fear in his eyes was visible as the Emperor looked down on him making him look small although he was more muscular than the emperor. This wasn't just a mere attack it was a planned assassination, whatever the knife that he was stabbed with was made of was swiftly draining his powers his eyes flattered with the heavy sensation of pain that crept over his head making everything to blur out the last image he saw was the soldier pouring out blood from his mouth as he fell to the ground.
