Chapter 10 - Chapter 9

Lucianna smiled as she waved at the retreating backs of her family, watching how her blond-haired boy walk calmly while the black-haired one keeps on running ahead and then runs back, before repeating the process, and her Laxus was merely shaking his head at the antics his grandsons are doing and then they were out of view, already passing the edge of the Forest.

The midnight-hair girl lowered her hand before turning around and heading back inside the tavern where she can see Olivia drinking their strongest rum, which doesn't affect the Lieutenant since she's a full dragon just like Laxus, but the bar-maiden couldn't help but pity their liver.

"Puwah!" Olivia gasped out, wiping the rum that was slowly dripping down from her chin. "Nothing beats the rum of Everlight!" She praised and this made Luci blush at the compliment.

"You need to tell me your secret, Luci!" This merely made the young lady giggle.

"You're getting ridiculous, Dame Olivia. The rum you're drinking is no different from the rum that could be bought from other islands, after all, I just ordered my stocks at the Main Islands."

"Oh don't you go calling me Dame Olivia now. I told you to call me Olivia or Liv." Said knight stated, waving her hand. "And while it's true, it just hit differently here." The White-haired knight twirled her mug, eyes on the rum as if searching for something. "I just couldn't understand it."

Lucianna smiled and didn't probe much further about her the reason why the knight liked her rum since she wasn't the only person who does so, instead, she stated. "I'm not that comfortable calling you by name without title and calling you Lieutenant Olivia is way too formal."

Olivia sighed heavily and give Luci stinky eyes, which the maiden just ignored as she went and cleans the counter. "I really would have you prefer calling me by my name."

"Would Teacher do?" The human hummed as she paused from her job and waited for the Dragon to give her answer.

"Make that Teacher Olivia, and you got yourself a deal." The white-haired woman sipped her mug as the midnight hair woman laughed. "Have you decided when you wanted your boys to be trained? I want first dibs."

"I haven't talked to the boys about it, but I'm pretty sure Papa is already training them behind my back." Lucianna then expertly dodges the spray of rum that comes out from the Lieutenant's mouth, to which she then wipes clean as if this was a normal activity.

"That old man is doing what?!"

"I am not supposed to know and neither should you." The adopted daughter stated and merely moved away from Dragon, going towards where her buckets of clean waters are, grabbing one of them all the while listening to the older woman grumbling as flames began to burst around her.

"He already managed to train you first, and now your kids?! I will teach him a lesson, you'll see!!" And then the white-haired knight went and gulped down the remaining rum she has in her mug, while Luci walk around the counter and stood behind the knight before pouring the bucket of water that she grabbed a while ago. Once the fire was out, Lucianna went back to her previous spot, while Olivia was unbothered by the sudden wetness and actions that the human did, in fact, she then dried herself up, increasing her body heat.

When Olivia's mug was empty, Luci immediately replaced it with a new one, which the dragon gulped down as well but moderately, and soon enough, she was calm, though a few mutterings could be heard.

"I have no idea why you and Papa, always fought on who can train who." She commented and the demon merely snorted.

"It's a dragon thing, don't worry too much about it," Olivia muttered and the human merely sighed in amusement before going inside her kitchen. The dragon hummed, perking slightly when she heard the clanging noises of pans hitting each other, followed by the smell of fire, knowing that Luci's cooking a meal for her. This made the Lieutenant excited and slightly distracted but it wasn't enough for her to not notice the noises multiple footsteps coming closer and closer to the tavern.

Slightly tensing, the older woman watched the doorway from the corner of her eyes, frowning when she heard cusses and slurred laughter, and with the help of her keen nose, Olvia immediately knew, who these people are, for she just met them last night and this made her snarled slightly. Her snarl became a growl when the first men that entered barged in as if they own the place, though she was slightly placated when that person received a slap in the head.

"Idiots! I told you not to barge in like that!" Marco shouted and glared at his crew member, who merely smiled sheepishly, rubbing the back of their neck.

"Sorry, Vice-Captain."

"I knew, I shouldn't have let you drink the remaining booze last night," Marco mumbled, shaking his head as he headed to the bar, his captain following behind him. Olivia eyed the hybrid giant, though it wasn't unusual to see such a hybrid, the knight did wonder why his height isn't the same as the other hybrid giants as some occasions their height would pass beyond a two-floor building.

'Unless of course, he's not even a pure hybrid himself…' She thought, thinking about those hybrids mixing more of their blood with other races, not that it's bad, since it's a lot common but she could only count with her two hands the number of times she saw a creature that only a quarter of a giant's blood.

"Now, now, calm yourself, Marco," Edward stated as he sat down in the chair that was big and strong enough to hold him, his first mate beside him. Olivia inwardly nodded in satisfaction and pride at how the furniture are holding against all kinds of demons, knowing exactly how Luci choose every single one of them for the tavern. "Nothing good comes out of stressing about their actions."

"You can't tell me that when nearly all of the townspeople are glaring at us as we head here," Marco grumbled, glaring when his Captain laughed.

"I'm sure they won't do that if we proved to them that we mean no harm." The hybrid giant said and Olivia couldn't help but snorted, making them glance at her. The Dame is not dumb to think that they just realize she's there, she's quite sure that they knew she was listening and watching their actions from the moment they entered the tavern, but since she did nothing, they decided to merely ignore her, until now.

"Pleasure seeing you, Lieutenant." Edward greeted while Marco bowed his head slightly and this reminded Oliva of how they greeted her last night, which made her think that they have nobles blood running in their vein.

"I would say the same thing but considering you're in this tavern, I'm having my doubts." She stated, swirling her rum and this made the Captain and First Mate raise an eyebrow. "I'm quite sure that the reason why the townspeople are glaring at you isn't because of how your men acted, or that your pirates."

"Oh?" The Captain hums and asked. "Then why would they glare at us?"

"Well…" Olivia gulped down her rum and once it was empty again, she slammed it down and glared darkly at them. "Because we don't you bothering or even harming the 'golden angel' of this town."
