Chapter 7 - A gorgeous reunion (1)

When you are busy, the days always go fast.

One day, Bai Yun was at work. When Bai Yun was finished, he found that the guest was still waiting. When Bai Yun was about to greet the guest with a polite reception, the guest spoke first, "Bai Yun, remember me? " Bai Yun saw that the customer was wearing sunglasses, a black T-shirt and a pair of jeans of the same colour, casual and elegant.

Bai Yun heard his voice and looked at his body shape and guessed that he was Richard who had come to the hotel a few days ago to exchange foreign currency, but Bai Yun was not sure. Bai Yun was hesitant as to how to talk to him.

The customer took off his sunglasses, smiled and said, "Hey, don't you know him?"

Bai Yun was so surprised to see the familiar face that he almost lost control of himself. Looking at the smile again, Bai Yun only felt a momentary thoughtful trance, "Richard, is that really you? I almost didn't recognise you when you were dressed like that."

"Hey, it seems that dressing up really changes a person! I've just changed my clothes, haven't I?" Richard's casual tone made it sound like they had been friends for years.

Bai Yun said, "How's it going? How are you doing? What made you think of coming to our hotel today? Did you come to stay here?"

"I came here to see you. A month ago, thanks to your help, I didn't have to sleep on the streets, so I came to thank you." Richard said seriously.

"Hey, what's wrong with that? It's not easy to go out and help each other out, it's inevitable. Bai Yun said as he looked around, luckily there were no customers, otherwise Bai Yun would not have been able to chat with others for so long.

"You're at work, I think it's better not to disturb you, how about I buy you dinner when you get off work?" Richard stared at Bai Yun with a look in his eyes that seemed to be pleading in a sincere way.

Bai Yun was very tired from work today and had already planned to go home after work to get some rest, so he wanted to refuse, but heard Richard say, "You won't refuse, will you? I don't invite people to dinner at will." Perhaps it was because of the light or something else, his eyes were so bright.

Bai Yun looked at him as if he were admiring a work of art. The invitation from a man with such affectionate eyes seemed to leave no reason for Bai Yun to refuse, so he readily agreed.

After work, Bai Yun walked out of the hotel and met Richard, who gave the driver his business card and nodded that he understood. When the taxi stopped in front of the city's best five-star hotel, Bai Yun said, "We're not going to eat there, are we? Let's just eat something on the side of the road."

Richard smiled and said, "Don't worry, I'll pay." His cheerful laugh floated slowly in the air and crept into Bai Yun's ears.

Bai Yun thought for a moment and said, "Did you really invite me here for dinner because I didn't let you sleep on the street last time? You don't have to pay so much."

Richard said, "Don't put it off. Do you want Chinese, Western or Japanese food?"

Bai Yun said, "Whatever you want, I'm not too fussy about food and I'm not good at it."

"Then let's have Japanese food." As he said this, he led Bai Yun into the Japanese restaurant. Bai Yun saw the waiters at the entrance wearing kimonos and clogs, bowing politely and speaking in Japanese.

Richard suggested, "Would you like to eat and watch the chef cook?"

Bai Yun nodded, so Richard chose two seats next to the cooking table and, like a gentleman, pulled out a stool for her and invited her to sit down.
