That night, I lay awake in my bed. Tossing and turning. Him leaving made me fear the worst. What if he can’t return or worse didn’t want to return? What if something worse happens! What will I do if he returns to his old ways? If something like that happens, I don’t know how I will be able to recover. I wanted to believe his words. I wanted to believe everything he said. But something in me was afraid. I was afraid to get my heart broken…again. But my heart wanted to open up to him completely, at the time, was building up a wall trying to protect itself. And the fear of the unknown kept me awake that entire night.
