I ran to him, snatching the pendent from his hand. My eyes wavered as I stared down at the pendant for any visible damage. When I detected none, I clutched the pendant tight pressing it against my forehead.
“Thank you.” I opened my eyes. “Where did you find it?”
“Don’t thank me,” Ciro shook his head. “I didn’t find it.”
“Then how did you get it?” I asked scrunching my brows.
“Erdem gave it to me.” Just by the look of his eyes, I knew he was speaking the truth. But why did he have it! How did he get it!
“What? How did he get it?” I spoke my mind. “Or is it one of his tricks to try to show me he cares or whatever!”
“What are you talking about?” He sounded confused.
“I wouldn’t be surprised if he took it on purpose and now is trying to play the hero!” I growled. “He is such a cunning wolf!”
“Nesta! How can you say that!”
I stared up at him in confusion. “What? Can’t I say that I don’t trust a male like him anymore?”
