I stood by the bed, a few feet away from him. He ran his fingers through his hair for the hundredth time.
“How are your feet?” he asked. The pain was nothing compared to what was going on inside my heart. I had forgotten about it, to tell the truth.
“Don’t make small talk please,” I said, trying to sound cold but I am sure, my red eyes and trembling voice gave me away. Even so, he nodded and proceeded with his speech.
“I will not deny the attraction…the pull I feel towards you. I am not denying what you feel. I feel the very same.” He admitted and I audibly gasped. He looked straight into my eyes, and I knew he wasn’t lying. All this time, I thought only I was the one feeling this pull. It baffles me how easily he could hide and deny this irresistible pull!
