Avon was still reeling from the unexpected turn of events, his mind struggling to comprehend the magnitude of what had just happened. Nevertheless, he quickly gathered his wits and instructed the system to proceed with the fusion, his heart racing with anticipation and apprehension.

As the fusion process began, Avon was relieved to discover that he didn't experience the excruciating pain that had plagued him during his previous attempts. However, this time he felt an ominous feeling, as if he was unlocking something beyond his control.

Component Description: The Corporeal Engine is a mythical artifact said to have been left behind from the age of gods, which the system has altered into a cybernetic heart component. It has many powers, but most of them are currently inaccessible due to the user's weak body and insufficient authority to access them.

Energy Generation: The Corporeal Engine functions as a heart that continuously absorbs mana from the surroundings, generating 20 units of energy per second. The excess energy can be utilized to fortify the body or can be used as an offensive or defensive skill that the user selects.]
Avon could feel the power coursing through him as the Corporeal Engine began to generate energy. He could sense the mana in the air around him, and it was as if he could see the energy flowing into his body.
But along with this newfound power came a sense of unease. Avon could feel something stirring within him, a force that he couldn't quite grasp. He knew that he had unlocked only a fraction of the Corporeal Engine's potential, but the locked powers were something he couldn't even begin to imagine.
As he pondered this, he noticed something strange happening to the world around him. The air seemed to be warping and twisting, and the light appeared to be bending in odd ways. Avon wondered if this was an effect of the Corporeal Engine's Energy Generation or if it was just his mind playing tricks on him.
He decided to test his newfound abilities and directed the excess energy to fortify his body. He could feel his muscles bulging and his bones hardening, as if he was being infused with an otherworldly strength.
With his body now enhanced, Avon could sense that he had become faster, stronger, and more agile. He took a few steps forward and jumped up, his body soaring effortlessly into the air. As he landed back on the ground, he couldn't help but grin in amazement at his newfound abilities.
After Avon had fully grasped his newly acquired strength, he began to jog back to the notice board so he could select a mission and hunt beasts.
To hunt beasts, he would need to have a pass that would allow him to go outside the walls that were designed to keep the monsters contained.
As he ran, he noticed that his speed was much faster than before and he knew it was the effect of the Corporeal Engine's fortification ability. "I wonder if the energy generation will increase as I unlock more features of the Corporeal Engine," Avon thought to himself in excitement for the future.
Avon's mind raced with possibilities as he imagined the full potential of the Corporeal Engine. With Spacetime Manipulation and Reality Alteration among its locked powers, he knew he had only scratched the surface of what the mythical artifact could do.
But along with his excitement came a sense of caution. He couldn't help but wonder if unlocking the full potential of the Corporeal Engine would come with unintended consequences. What if he lost control of the powers he had unlocked? What if the locked powers were too dangerous to wield? But he decided to get these useless thoughts put of his mind because he is too far from unlocking them as he didn't even know the requirements to do so.
While wandering in his own thoughts he eventually made it to the notice board which still has a group of people surrounding it. Avon squeezed through the large group with his relatively small frame and made it to the front.
"Now lets see what missions I can take."
After looking around for a few minutes Avon looked around and sorted the missions and selected the ones he thinks are the most suitable for him currently.
Mission 1:Kill 10 Green Leaf Boars (E+)
Reward: 10 credits for each boar, must kill at least 10
Mission 2:Kill 10 Shadow Cats (D-)
Reward: 20 credits for each cat, must kill at least 10 cats
Mission 3:Collect gloom flower pollen (D)
Reward: 50 credits for 100g of pollen
With these quests under his belt, Avon set off into the gloom tree forest to gauge his strength, kill beasts to obtain experience and gain some money as an extra reward.
