"Hey"! she said to me with a sweet smile on her face
"Hello"! I waved faking a smile
"Do you mind if I sit next to you"She said looking at me
"Sure" I said and moved a little for her to sit
"I'm sorry for being the reason why you were humiliated the other day... I just can't help feeling guilty"she said with her head slightly bowed
"It's okay"! I said and gave her a reassuring smile that all was well
"Really"? She asked and I nodded "Ohh my gosh I'm so happy! I thought you would never forgive me"! She exclaimed
"Why would I do something disgusting"? I asked astonished
"That doesn't matter to me now, anyways I'm Nina Simone do you mind if I become friends with you"? She asked me
"I don't mind and I guess you know my name already"I said smiling
"of course, who doesn't know your name in this high school, besides I got you the second pack to celebrate our friendship" she said handing me the second pack of her juice and I sipped from it while we chatted about other stuffs
*Chris pov*
"Marina"!! Chris called softly as soon as he saw her with a smile on his face
"Hey! What are you doing here Chris"? Marina asked walking up to him
"Gabe told me you got back so I decided to check up today so what's up"? Chris asked
"Hey Chris"! Mercy and Erica greeted in unison
"Ohh..!Hey! how are you doing today"? Chris asked nervously
"We're good" They replied
"I'm famished Chris do you mind going to the cafeteria with me"? Marina asked looking at him
"Of course I don't" Chris said and they walked out of the music room
"Uhm... Marina"? Chris called softly
"Yes"? she answered
"About yesterday I heard you picked up a fight with the new girl" Chris said with mixed feelings in his heart
"She deserved it" Marina said while Erica and Mercy laughed
"What do you mean she deserved it? I mean did she do something wrong"? Chris asked quizzically
"I don't like her personality at all;I got disgusted by her presence yesterday so I gave her a little gift for being disgusting and for being a new bee, besides she's nothing but a loser" Marina said picked up a tray and made her choice of food while others did same when they were done they got a sit with table and ate "Don't tell me you care about her already"? Marina asked while Chris choked on his food
"Ohh my goodness...! Here have a glass of water"! Marina said handing him the glass which he took and drank from
"I wouldn't stoop for a middle class you know"? Chris said sipping from his juice
"I know you wouldn't, just wanted to be sure" Marina said having a bite of her burrito
"Don't forget Nina and I are bethroted"? Chris said with a soft smile on his face
"I wouldn't dare to"! Marina said jokingly

Back in the classroom Gabriella and Nina was having a good time as friends when Gabriel walked in with Chris
"Hey" Chris greeted walking towards Gabriella
"Hi"!! Gabriella replied
"Uhm.... I'm sorry to interrupt, but do you mind if I see you outside for a second" Chris pleaded
"Sure"!!! She said and excused herself from Nina who just smiled
"Are you okay"? Gabriel asked as soon as they stepped out
"Of course I am,is there a problem"? Gabby asked looking surprised
"Not at all Gabby,we learned you had a fight with Marina" Chris said nervously
"I didn't have a fight with her, she had a fight with me. It's two different things" Gabby said showing two fingers
"I'm sorry you got humiliated by my sister" Gabriel said in a soft tone that could melt ones heart
"your sister"? Gabby asked looking at Gabe with a shocked expression on his face, she wondered why *Marina would hurt one's feeling without being bothered and Gabe why was he being so nice*
"Humm... she's my elder sister" Gabe said looking at floor
"Wow I can't believe your sister would humiliate someone she hasn't met before in her life time just on the first day of meeting her and got away with it just like that; what sort of a school is this that doesn't consider her students welfare Gabe. Do you know how I felt for being humiliated for no reason, obviously you don't"! Gabriella said as tears welled up in her eyes but she wiped it off not letting it drop to her cheeks
"Gabby that's why I'm here to apologize on her behalf, I in particular is ashamed of what my sister did to you so please find a place in your heart and forgive her please" Gabe pleaded with her
"I don't forgive so easily so if you would excuse me I was having a good time before you guys interrupted" She said and walked back to the classroom
"You did your best man"Chris said and rubbed Gabe's back
"My best isn't enough Chris I have to make it up to her and become friends with her again before I loose her to someone else" Gabriel said and sighed

The next day I got ready and went to the dining to take my breakfast before leaving for school as usual
"Sweetheart you look great today, did you perhaps get noticed by someone"? That was my mom talking
"C'mon mom"! I sulked "I told you to stop thinking about that cause I'm not gonna let it happen, I'm not interested in boys and I never would be" I said angrily
"You can never tell my darling and you can't escape from it. It's might be close to you but you're not seeing it cause your blinded with pride" She added handing me a cup of hot tea which I didn't bother drinking and left the house angrily, I don't want to have anything to do with anyone, at least not yet.
I arrived school and was heading to the class when someone pulled my hand and I turned only to see the strange Jason I met the other day while strolling
"How dare you touch me"? I asked feeling embarrassed
"Ugh..! Ah! I'm sorry I didn't mean to" He apologized
"Are you stalking me"? I asked folding my hands across my breast
"Of course not, I just want us to be friends, that's all" Hesaid nervously
"I told you I don't do friends so save your friendship for someone who cares" I said to him and started walking away while he ran after me and continued talking
"please just give me a chance" He pleaded
"I won't so stay away from me" I said walking really fast cause people were watching
"I just wanted to be a friend" He said walking closer to me
"I told you I'm not interested so please stay away" I yelled at him and he abruptly held his step while I walked out on him
"How ridiculous"! I exclaimed to myself when I got to my school closet
"What's up" Nina said and I turned to face her in surprise
"Oh my gosh Nina you startled me"! I said nervously
"Sorry I didn't mean to" She apologized and I smiled
"It's okay"I replied and locked my closet "shall we"? I asked pointing to the way leading to the class
"Of course" She replied and we walked to the class.
*Marina's Pov*
"Erica"! She called
"Humm" Erica replied fiddling with her phone
"Have you seen Mercy" Marina asked
"Nope"! Erica replied
"Where would she probably be"? Marina asked looking around in search of her
"I guess she went to welcome Gabe to school today" Erica said
"I guess she's sitting up tight then" Marina said and Chuckled
" I guess so too she have to make a move towards Gabe since he seems to be avoiding her lately" Erica said while looking at Marina's face
"You're right,my brother does seem to be avoiding us lately; I wonder what's wrong with him, he hardly speaks to me at home either" Marina said and sighed
"If that's the case I think you should find out what's wrong with him, I think he's bothered and doesn't know whom to confide in" Erica said
"That's why I need him to be closer to Mercy so he won't be so lonely. Don't you think they are a perfect match"? Marina asked with a smile
"Of course they are"! Erica said and continued what she was doing with her phone earlier.
Meanwhile on Gabriella's way to the class she bumped into Gabe
"Hey" he greeted
"Hi" she replied
"Are you still upset with me"? Gabe asked
"of course not, I wasn't upset with you Gabe" Gabby said
"Really"? Gabe asked
"Of course I wasn't" Gabby replied and Gabe hugged her out of excitement
"Thank you so much" he said pulling from the hug
"That was nothing I realized you did nothing wrong so there no need to be upset with you" Gabby said with a smile
"Thank goodness you weren't, I was worried to death" Gabe said holding her hands with his both hands
"why"? Gabby asked almost laughing
"I thought you won't ever speak to me again" Gabriel said
"We are friends anyways and I can't seem to avoid you" Gabby replied with a smile
"Really"? Gabe asked
"Of course you happen to be Chris friend and he's my friend as well so are you" Gabriella said and twitched her eyes
"I'm glad" Gabe said
"Aren't you heading to the class" Gabby asked
"Of course, let's go" he beckoned and they both walked into the class. Meanwhile Mercy who was going to meet with Gabriel saw everything that happened, and ran angrily to marina
"Hey!... what's going on"? Marina asked Mercy as soon as she walked in angrily but no response
"You have to tell us what's going on babe...why are you in such a haste"? Erica asked
"I don't wanna talk about it" She said sniffing in tears
"Really, and you're in tears? Erica asked
"Marina you told me Gabe loves me right"? Mercy asked looking at her with a sad expression on her face
"Of course he does" Marina replied with a smile
"I don't think so" Mercy said
"What do you mean"? Marina asked
"I just saw him...." She paused
"Saw him doing what"? Marina asked nervously
"I saw him hugging Gabriella" Mercy said
"What? "The scholarship girl"? Marina asked bewilderedly and Mercy nodded
"That's impossible"! Marina said angrily standing to her feet "Gabriella is nothing but a snitch and I'm gonna make sure I put her in her place real soon" Marina said pacing about

A week later during the weekend I went to my mom's coffee shop to help her out cause it's been awhile since I went there
"Hey mom"! I greeted grabbing a sit by her side while she was busy making coffee
"Hey sweetie"! she replied still focused on what she was doing
"Guess you're busy"? I asked
"Yes sweetheart" She replied
"Do you mind if I help you with that"? I asked looking at her
"No dear, just help me serve this to the guy sitting on the fourth row of the seat" she said handing me the freshly made coffee
"Sure" I replied and took the coffee tray from her and headed to the fourth row but to my surprise I was shocked by whom I saw
"Hey" Jason said
"What are you doing here"? I asked in an angered tone
"Hey take it easy;I came to grab coffee"he said but I wasn't gonna take that for an excuse
"Really? Coffee? or are you stalking me"? I asked getting really angry
"Come on I don't do such shit,I just came for coffee" he defended
"Sweetheart is everything okay"? That was my mom talking
"I'm fine mom" I replied
"Is she your mom"? Jason asked me
"Yes she is"I replied "do you have a problem with that" I asked
"Of course I don't; just that she's got a nice personality and I like her for that, but you are something else to begin with" Jason said sipping from his coffee waiting for Gabriella to pounce on him
"Yes she does and please stay away from me and stop stalking me" I said and walked out before my mom suspects anything
*Jason's Pov*
I wish she could see my heart to know what I'm going through, neither do I know why she despises me so much. But I don't have to give up yet till my mission is accomplished and by the way she doesn't know anything about me nor does she know much about herself and I'm sure she's gonna be shocked when the time comes. He thought to help himself while sipping his coffee.
Meanwhile Gabby walked back to where her mom is and started helping her with some stuffs
"Hope Jason didn't give you stress"? My mom said and I stopped what I was doing almost immediately
"Of course not but how do you know his name"? I asked
"Well he's a regular costumer and I've grown found of him" My mom said smiling at me
"I see"I said and continued with what I was doing
*Marina's Pov*
"Gabriel I'm talking to you" Marina yelled
"What Marina...? What do you want"? Gabe asked putting on his jacket
"I need an explanation based on what's going on between you and that commoner" Marina questioned with her hands folded across her breast
"There is nothing going on between the both of us and Gabby is not a commoner" Gabe said looking at Marina's face with anger in his voice
"What do you mean nothing is going on and you barely communicate with Mercy huh,? how do you explain that"? Marina asked
"I've told you times without number that I and Mercy isn't gonna work, don't you get it" Gabe yelled
"What nonsense"! Marina screamed "I made a promise to Mercy to get both of you into a serious relationship cause she loves you and I'm not going to take back my word for any god damn reason Gabe" Marina said with anger welling up in her
"I don't care about the promise you made to Mercy Marina"! Gabe yelled "That you're my elder sister doesn't mean you have the right to make my life decisions for me,got it"?! He said angrily to Marina and walked out of the house

I was in my room this Saturday evening doing nothing in particular when I heard a knock so I went to get it opened but I saw someone unexpected
"Hey" He said
"Gabe"? "what are you doing here" I asked in surprise
"May I come in"? he asked
"Sure"I replied ushering him in
"I had nothing to do at home so I dropped by to say hi" Gabe said looking at her
"That's very thoughtful of you" I said and smiled a little
"Seems like you're not busy"? Gabe asked
"Yup! I was thinking about going to my mom's coffee shop since I was bored at home
