Chapter 34 - LET’S GET MARRIED!”

Somewhere in the world of Nyxphalt.

Chaos reigned as the elements clashed with each other. The wind roared through the area, causing trees to bend and sway in their wake.

Thunderclouds loomed overhead, their dark and brooding presence filling the air with an ominous tension. And then, with a crack like a whip, the lightning appeared.

The bolt of electricity danced from cloud to cloud like a frenzied snake, searching for its next target. In this region, the concept of light was irrelevant, and the lack of visibility only added to the eerie atmosphere.

One could almost imagine the lightning bolts cackling with glee as they wreaked havoc upon the land.

If there were any outsiders who stumbled upon this scene, they would likely flee in trepidation at the spectacle before them. But for the inhabitants of this region, it was just another day in their chaotic world.

In this cranky atmosphere, a palace perched atop the mountain like a brooding predator, its dark silhouette looming over the jagged cliffs below. The air was thick with an otherworldly mist, swirling and curling around the palace's towering spires like ghostly fingers.

The sound of creaking metal echoed through the valleys as if the very stones beneath the palace's weight were groaning in protest.

But despite the eerie ambience, the palace was undeniably majestic. Its walls were lined with ornate carvings and intricate mosaics, each telling a story of a bygone era.

And yet, for all its beauty, there was something undeniably sinister about the place. It was as if the palace was holding a dark secret, waiting for the right moment to reveal it to the world. All in all, it was not the most welcoming of destinations.

However, inside this eerie palace.

"Hula! Hula-hula! Hula! La! La! La! La!"

"La! La! La! La!"

"Hula! Hula-hula! Hula!"

"Hula! Hula-hula! Hula! La! La! La! La!"

Yes, inside the eerie palace, the atmosphere looked as dynamic as it could get compared to its outer appearance.

Inhabitants here had some strange hobby as everyone's body was semi-transparent. It was like a twisted carnival of anatomy, with body parts spilling out in bizarre and unexpected ways.

Some had heads open like jack-in-the-boxes, while others had intestines falling out like spilled spaghetti. Eyes bulged out like over-inflated balloons, and blah.. blah…

{Come closer and listen… hehe he} Some even had their peanuts, peaches and even the holy mountain protruding like trophies.

Inside this palace, in the throne hall, the scene was just like everywhere in the palace but one thing was there to be noticed, some of these semi-transparent inhabitants looked rich, more knowledgeable and… more airheaded.

"Look, how exquisitely and elegantly our queen is dancing while sitting… oh mama! I can finally die happily!" A plump to his bone and having a hole in his head man spoke and as he spoke his plumpy plumpness giggled.

"Haaayee! Me too! Me too! I can die!" A dancing old bitch ass spoke having his peanut and two gulab jamun protruding as trophies.

"S-silence!" A man who had nothing wrong with him which was not normal for a place like this, but with a bare naked upper body shouted.

Tap!

Tap!

The man's naked upper body glistened in the dim light of the throne hall as he confidently strode towards the throne. His elegant steps and well-mannered demeanor hinted at a noble upbringing, but his words were far from noble. "My Queen!" he knelt before her, "You are single, I'm single!"

"You love me, I love you!"

"LET'S GET MARRIED!"

The room fell so quiet, you could hear a peanut giggle... but no one dared, in fear of disrupting the tension.

Suddenly, a single finger began tapping a rhythm, the intensity building with every passing second.

And then, like a mosquito buzzing in your ear, a man also with a bare upper body shouted, "I-I will kill you! You pervert! Who said the queen loves you?"

"...She loves me and only me! Only me! You got it, mosquito?! SHE LOVES ME AND WILL ONLY MARRY ME!" The man was charmingly dressed and looked like he also came from a noble family, but his outburst was completely opposite to his contrast.

He jumped and trembled like a toddler throwing a tantrum, while three other inhabitants held him back. It was like watching a wrestling match, but with less spandex and more nonsense.

The tension in the room was so thick, you could cut it with a knife. The tapping sounds were so loud, it was like someone was playing a drum solo. The kneeling man looked at the crazed man as if he was some kind of pest, not worth his time.

The crazed man, on the other hand, was making a scene like a toddler throwing a tantrum in the middle of a supermarket.

He was shouting at the top of his lungs, his face turning red like a tomato. The other inhabitants had to hold him back, as if he was about to explode like a balloon filled with too much air.

As all eyes turned towards the throne, the tapping sound grew louder and more intense. There sat the Queen, poised and elegant, with a face that could launch a thousand ships.

Her flawless features were perfectly symmetrical, and her eyes were the colour of the most exquisite rose petals, a shade of pink so delicate it could make a heart skip a beat.

Her hair, as white as snow, cascaded down her back like a waterfall of silk. She sat there with a regal air, exuding power and grace, yet her expression betrayed no emotion, like a statue carved from the finest marble.

And suddenly the tapping sound stopped, and the queen looked towards her right.

Standing beside the throne was a woman of striking beauty, her hair a smoky shade of grey that cascaded down her back in soft waves.

Her eyes were a deep, captivating black, and her skin was smooth and flawless like porcelain. As soon as the Queen's gaze fell upon her, she bowed deeply, a sign of utmost respect and devotion.

It was clear that this woman was the most trusted advisor of the Queen, and her every move was calculated with precision and grace.

The elegant lady with grey hair like smoke and black eyes fixed her gaze on the kneeling man and the toddler throwing a tantrum, her expression cold and unwavering.

The room grew quiet as she stepped forward, her eyes glinting with a hint of killing intent.

As she surveyed the two suitors vying for the queen's hand, her face flushed with all shades of red and pink, and her lips tightened into a thin line. "How dare these flies propose to my queen first and so brazenly," she muttered under her breath.

"I am the only true lover of the all-mighty Ghost Queen, and she will only be mine."

Her voice grew resolute, and a fierce determination took hold of her as she vowed to remove these interlopers from her sight.

"Ahem…" She opened her mouth to speak but was abruptly interrupted by the kneeling man who spoke in a firm tone,

"Lisandra, I have changed. My heart now beats only for the queen, and then for you. Let us wait to hear her response before discussing anything further in private." He spoke as if he didn't want to entertain any of Lisandra's proposals and was eager to hear the queen's decision.

"Private your head bitch!" As the kneeling man spoke, Lisandra's expression changed to one of anger and frustration.

Her normally calm demeanour shattered, and she let out a sudden burst of her voice, startling everyone in the throne room. Her tone was sharp and cutting, as if she was ready to rip the man's head off.

Realizing what she had just done, Lisandra quickly composed herself and turned to the Queen, bowing deeply. Her gray hair fell over her face, obscuring her expression as she apologized for her outburst.

Even as she spoke, her hands trembled slightly, betraying the anger that still simmered beneath the surface.

"My Queen," she said, her voice shaking slightly, "please punish this servant as you see fit for her incompetence." As she finished speaking, she raised her head, revealing her stunning exquisiteness once again, and waited for the Queen's response.

The room was filled with an awkward silence as Lisandra's outburst echoed off the walls. Everyone held their breath, waiting for the queen's reaction. Her expression remained unchanged, as if she was unmoved by the sudden burst of emotion.

Her eyes, which were a mesmerizing blend of pink and magenta, darted towards Lisandra and then back to the kneeling man.

There was a slight twitch in her perfectly arched eyebrows, the only hint of any emotion on her face. It was impossible to read her thoughts, but her silence spoke volumes.

However, what queen was thinking was way out of your expectation.

She felt completely out of place, almost as if she was in a dream. 'What the hell am I doing here, and how did I end up as a queen?' she wondered, feeling a sense of detachment from the whole situation. 'I need to find Ignis as soon as possible before its too late.'

The queen gazed into the distance as if searching for someone of great significance.

The regal figure on the throne was none other than Ethyn Rivera.
