Chapter 2 - I Didn't Know I Could Do That

Everywhere went silent I couldn't feel anything for a second but then all the pain came rushing in all at once. All I could think about was everything I could've done differently but before I could even finish that, everywhere went dark, no light at the end of the tunnel, just cold empty darkness

But before I knew it, I felt a jolt go through my whole body, and it wasn't any normal feeling. It felt as if I was hooked up to a car battery. I didn't even know what was happening when my body just got up on its own and ran towards Ryan. 'I' dealt a heavy kick to his gut that sent him flying into a wall. I think he said something along the lines of

"The f#@! is goin-"

I couldn't control my body but for some reason, I could still understand everything that was happening. Steve must've heard what happened because he ran from the back at me but 'I' (Me just watching as my body did all the work on its own) gave him a punch to the gut that caused him to spit out blood and knocked him out cold.

After that, I could finally start moving my body and I was just confused. I was standing in the middle of a bank with over 6 dead bodies and 2 unconscious robbers. I didn't know what to do so I just ran, I was able to make it 3 feet away from the back before I realized I had a hole in my chest and was bleeding out. About 5 seconds later I just fell down flat on my face, unconscious

By the time I woke up, I was in a hospital room, hooked up to an IV and in a blue hospital gown. I sat up on the bed and immediately felt dizzy. I sat there for a few seconds then got up to use the toilet. When I was done I checked myself in the mirror. I was still the same 5'5", 13-year-old from before with my light blue eyes and dark brown hair in a French crop. When I checked my chest there was a scar that was bullet sized. When I got most of my thoughts together I went to the door and opened it. There was a nurse wheeling a cart past my room who said,

"Oh, your awake."

"Yeah, I guess so.", I replied.

"Should I call the doctor or do you still need time to rest?"

"You can call him."

"Alright, just sit down and wait for about 3 minutes.", she said as she dragged the cart away with her.
