Chapter 12 - Academy [03]

Walking around the city, I am amazed at the number of people walking on the street. The streets are so alive. The hustle and bustle of shopkeepers advertising their products, students talking while walking, and carriages of new students coming to take qualification exams.

Following the map given by the receptionist, I'm looking for a gun store. While walking further while looking at the map, I collided with a person. His belongings fell to the ground.

"I am sorry." I said. He ignored me and was hurried on picking everything up.

I looked at what things had fallen. A long metal chain, a bottle of pills, a pair of daggers, and some martial arts books?

I crouched down to help him. I picked up the bottle of pills and looked closely at the name.

'Speed Increasing Pills'

This type of bottle is very expensive. These drugs will speed you up for a while, but they will cause you pain which will want you to kill yourself. Whoever this person was, they had a lot of money and had a lot of courage.

I looked at the person's face carefully.

A 5' 9" tall, tan skinned person with black eyes, hollow cheeks, a turned-up nose and angled lips. He has straight, black hair, has average-sized feet, and slanted shoulders, has a large scar on his neck, and he was wearing the Academy's uniform.

We could say that he was more handsome-looking compared to me.

"Give me that!" He shouted as he snatched the bottle of pills from my hand. He quickly ran opposite to where I was going. I looked as he soon disappeared into the crowd.

I thought about my own business and headed to the store. After walking for about fifteen minutes, I finally arrived at the store.

Ring!

A bell rang as I opened the door. The shop looked very new. The floor was and the walls were made of high quality wood. A red carpet was laid on the floor.

There were some students in here but I ignored them.

I looked around and saw all sorts of swords kept in glass cases. I started to read the description of all the swords.

[ Hero's Sword ( Fake ) ] ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆

- A sword made by a master blacksmith which is a copy of the sword of the 1st generation's hero.

Effects:-

- [ Light Magic Enhancement Lvl. 3 ]

- [ Attack Up +6 ]

- [ Defense Up +6 ]

- [ Bleed Lvl. 7]

- [ Blinding Lvl. 4 ]

- [ Party Defense Up +4 ]

The highest star that a sword could have is seven stars.

"I want to take all of these." I muttered to myself.

But I knew it would probably cost me a fortune to get one of these. The one which my father had gifted me was a two star sword.

I looked at the section of the swords which I could afford.

[ Sharpened Blade ] ☆ ☆

A sword made by a blacksmith sharpened to its core.

Effects:-

[ Sharpness Lvl. 2 ]

This sword wasn't kept inside the glass showcase.

I think, this one would be the best.

"I want this one."

"I want this one."

We both spoke at the same time. I looked at the person who was trying to get my find.

Blue, frizzy hair slightly revealing a long, tense face. Bright blue eyes, set charmingly within their sockets.

I don't know who this person is but it doesn't look like he's of a high status or a goon of Blake.

"This is my find, you should really leave it." I said.

"I really insist on taking it. I will really need it more than you will ever." He said.

"Go find something else." I said as I put my hand on the handle of the sword.

He too, put his hand on the handle of the sword.

"Sir, both of you should stop fighting." The shopowner said as he approached us.

"Didn't you see, I was the first one to find this out?" I looked at the shopkeeper while tightening my grip on the sword's handle.

"I am stronger than you so it's mine." The person said as he held my hand and tightened his grip.

"I see. That's why I don't know you." I said as I punched him in the face.

He blocked it at the right time with his left hand.

I can tell that he's one minor rank above me but if I just get this sword, things might change.

"Name's Aaron Gears. Trash like you might have never heard of me." He said as he threw an uppercut at me. I got hit straight on my lower and fell on the ground but I managed to get the sword on my hand. I switched my 'AIMBOT' to default and got back up quickly.

I swung the sword and was about to hit him on the neck when I was stopped by a voice.

"STOP IT!" The shopkeeper shouted.

My sword was only a few millimetres away from his hand. If the shopkeeper was even a second late, this guy wouldn't have a hand for the rest of his life.

The person in front of me looked surprised. He was sweating like he had seen a ghost.

"I have an extra pair of the sword that you want. So, buy your sword and take your fight somewhere else." The shopkeeper said as he turned to the counter.

"Follow me." He said.

"Give me the other one." I said as I went with him.

Aaron's POV

"It's unexpected to find someone this strong other than them."
