Reef drove his car away from home. There was only one destination, the hotel where Nathan Wilford was staying. He had to explain what he had discussed with Bella last night. Reef is convinced that Bella's leaving without saying goodbye has something to do with the tycoon.
Apparently it wasn't difficult to get Nathan to agree to meet him. The hotel receptionist announces Reef's arrival over the room line. Although it was still too early to receive guests, Nathan asked for Mr. Davis to be escorted to the suite he was occupying. Reef followed a hotel clerk into the elevator to the suite. When Nathan opened the door, the clerk politely left them.
Reef didn't even feel the need to make small talk now that they were alone. "Do you know where Bella is?" he asked.
Nathan was stunned and looked at Reef in surprise. "I don't know what you mean. Why are you asking me about Miss Ross?"
