"What are your plans for today?" Reef asked Bella. They were enjoying breakfast in the kitchen. Bella had just filled her coffee cup for the second time. Her body felt exhausted. The two of them had only met that morning, because Reef had come home quite late last night because he didn't want to leave work unfinished. When he came home, Bella was already fast asleep and Reef didn't have the heart to wake her up.
"I'm going grocery shopping," Bella said. "You've left the fridge almost empty again. Vivian will only be here tomorrow. I don't want to rely on Vivian to fill the groceries. Her job of cleaning a house this big is already quite a hassle."
"She's paid to help," Reef said.
