Nathan Wilford watched the two women get into the car with their two suitcases. Carl would drive them to the airport, while he only made a brief appearance at the bottom of the stairs when they had just disembarked and were about to leave. Only Bella gave him a hug as it was her habit as a family member, while Kylie just gave him a somber nod before going first to the front door.
Nathan realized it would be difficult for him to gain Kylie's trust again. She would probably refuse to see him after this. Strangely, even though he had always considered Kylie to be just part of his adventure, he felt a twinge of regret in his heart that he would never see her again.
