Bella told Reef about the threats Reynolds had received. He was surprised and angry to hear it. "Is your lawyer not making this up?"
"He's one of the best divorce lawyers in the state. His reputation is impeccable, how could he misinterpret a threat?" Bella said.
"Then shouldn't we report him to the police? Or did your lawyer already do that?"
"He was going to report it to the police, but I told him to wait for some time...."
"Bella, why?" Reef looked shocked and annoyed. "What are you waiting for? We are dealing with a dangerous madman."
Bella was silent for a moment. She tried to gather words in her mind. "Reef, here's the thing. I feel like all of this has something to do with my father. Maybe this is my father's game. If that's the case, he wouldn't have killed me, right?"
Reef was wide-eyed. "You think so?"
