Chapter 15 - 15) Departure

Me, Gojo, and Yuta arrived at the airport after saying our goodbyes to the other first years at JJT. Another black, spiked haired person was with us, but I didn't know his name. I don't think he's said a thing since I've seen him.

But, to say the least, I was super excited about this whole thing, especially after all my training. I felt pretty confident about taking down the Valkyries but Gojo warned me not to be too cocky, since they've been growing in power over the course of centuries. Regardless, I'll have a bit of help defeating them… I think.

I hope.

I've never met this 'Nanami' guy, only heard he's a business man working in sorcerery(?)

We walked in the terminal and our partners stuck out like sore thumbs with their outfits. Not only because of their cursed energy that I was able to perfectly pinpoint (yay for my progress!), but they also had unusual outfits… well not Nanami, but definitely Miguel.

Anyways, we approached them across the terminal.

"Yo Nanami! Miguel! Here are my students!" Gojo waved at the two and they did not seem excited to see him at all…maybe even despising his presence.

Damn Gojo, you are really unliked.

"You sure look…spiffy. And sleep deprived.." Miguel said to Yuta. I don't know what made him look spiffy but I guess he sees something in us younger people.

Nanami sized me up from behind his shaded frames and turned around. "I'm sure Satoru has already told you all there is to know about me. We don't have much time to waste so let's get moving, Furōkawa." He began walking to the gate of our plane.

"Well Yuta, hope you have fun in Africa. Oh, and I'll definitely be stronger than you next time we meet."

"I look forward to it, Furō."

Yuta and I grinned at each other and bumped elbows, and soon I caught up to Nanami who was waiting at the gate for me.

I watched Yuta and Miguel also go to their gate in the opposite direction, while Gojo and the other guy exited out the terminal.

Now there's no turning back, and I have to be ready for whatever challenges come in my way.

(A/N: Sorry for the short hiatus, been dealing with school a lot and now I'm able to write consistently! Short chapter today!)
