As a young child, training and exercising every day early in the morning was a strain. I used to wake up at 6:00 am on an empty stomach and train at the training ground, wearing trousers and a shirt suitable for girls. My training started with running around the whole ground at least five times and then with exercises to build up arm and leg strength. Mr. Arnold did not let me use the spear as he thought that I had no strength yet to start using a spear heavier than me. After three hours of vigorous training (according to a three-year-old, little me), Anny helped me wash up with scented water, trimmed my nails, and wear a pretty dress. After washing up, I felt refreshed and clean.
Coming into this era, I always noticed how people dress so neatly, unlike when I used to live in my previous life where we wore animal skins and plant stems. Such woven gowns were something impossible for us to imagine in those days. After the warm bath, Anny served me a glass of hot milk to boost my energy, and then we went for breakfast in the dining room. My brothers, mother, and I had breakfast every day. Our chef was a talented artistic chef who could make any breakfast look like a fabulous work of art. Eating without staring at it for a few minutes at least was impossible. Father usually had his breakfast at his office as he was busy with his work every morning. To see father, I used to go to his office and greet him. He always welcomed me with a warm smile, even when he was very busy. The butler served me cookies and candies, which I had a limit set by my mother.
After visiting father, I went to the gardens to roam around until lunchtime when I ate my lunch alone, Anny waiting on me. The lunch was usually a protein diet to help me develop more strength and power to use a spear soon. After lunch, I take a nap as my body grows tired from all the training and roaming all morning. After nap time, my mother, brother Andrew, and I have our tea time together with servings of cookies and cakes. Brother Jonathan rarely joined us as he was busy taking classes for his heir. As brother Andrew was still young, he had fewer classes comparatively. At 6:00 pm, we had our next session of training led by Mr. Arnold.
After training, I went straight to Anny who helped me wash up and wear night clothes. My day ended with a family dinner where we shared everything that happened in the day with each other. A perfect day would always end with some warm chocolate milk prepared by Anny. The moment I lay on my bed, I feel like some bricks are placed on my eyelids; they are unusually heavy, and I am always tired. I never even know when I drift off to sleep.
Rakhil was Archduchess Eveline's only son. He wakes up in the morning and greets his parents at breakfast. The Archduke and Archduchess were in love with each other and shared the same love for their only little son. Rakhil was a pampered rich-noble child from the house of the only Archduke. He started to learn to train for swordsmanship at the age of three. The Archduke and Archduchess had already decided to start his literary training only after he reached four, as they wanted their child to play more. But they never thought that the child would be playing too much, causing trouble for poor servants. He was three years old and a naughty child who liked to play around with mud and water. He plucked flowers, dug pits, hid them with leaves, and also threw bugs on male servants and gardeners. Even though he was punished, there was still a limit on how much a three-year-old could be punished. So the duchess couldn't take any strict actions.
One day after his third birthday, he was lying on the grass under the warm shade. Suddenly he heard a voice from somewhere. Being a child, Rakhil was always curious about everything and anything. He stood up and started to search where this voice was coming from, but to his disappointment, he found no one beside him. "Rakhil, you don't have to search anywhere for me. I am in your mind, in your head, and in your imaginative soul." A sweet voice spoke again. Rakhil was all confused. For a child, it was difficult to comprehend the situation. His eyes were tearing up. The voice panicked, "Don't cry. I am your friend. If you don't cry, I will tell you a secret!" "What secret?" Rakhil asked seriously (It would be hard to take this question seriously as he is still learning to pronounce.).
The voice spoke in a calm voice once again, "Oh my God! What a sweet child. You stopped crying so soon." "Yes, yes," he nodded with a bright smile. "Want to be friends with me? Let's play different games together." The voice spoke. The voice sounded like that of a lady at her age of twenty or twenty-one. "Heehee, I am getting a new friend!" Rakhil happily jumped around. From that day on, Rakhil heard the same sound. They soon became friends. Now, for Rakhil, the unknown sound was a mind companion. The sound always reminded him that when the day he meets his real friend, he will always be happy. As a child who was taught different things like good manners and social etiquette by this unknown voice, Rakhil started becoming more observant and attentive to his surroundings. But nothing could stop Rakhil from playing around and getting dirty with mud. Seeing her child being very active and naughty, the duchess decided to bring him to Hannah's home and let Andrea meet him and teach him how to stay still for at least five whole minutes.
