Jack
As thankful as Jack was that Matthew had left, he couldn't help feeling like the girl he loved was going to hate him. Of course Jack couldn't tell her. He'd never see her again. She shut her window and turned around to look at him, her huge grey eyes filled with tears. "What did he mean, Jack?" Akilah asked, one tear making a run for it. Jack went to rub it away from her beautiful face but Akilah moved away. He couldn't help feel his heart crack. "You killed a girl? You were going to tell me, right?" She asked not making eye contact.
"Of course I was! It didn't seem appropriate! And I didn't kill anyone! Matthew has it all wrong. " Jack said, desperately. He knew that telling her meant killing a relationship. Ha get it? Yeah, I know, too dark.
"I'm going to put on the film we're watching. You're going to explain everything while massaging my shoulders." Akilah said, fumbling for her remote. Jack happily complied. They put on some Disney classics. Peter Pan started playing.
"I never killed anyone." Jack started. He explained the whole story. He also said if anyone was to find out he'd have to move and cut contact with everyone including Akilah so he could never tell anyone. "But that doesn't apply to you. You can know anything. You have the right." By the time Jack finished, Alice in wonderland had started.
Akilah
Akilah felt bad. She understood everything now. "It's ok. I understand." She said burying her head into Jacks chest. He put his arms around her. Alice in wonderland had never been so interesting. Maybe that's just what Jack did, made things exciting.
When they woke up next morning it was 07:00. That meant one hour to get ready and half an hour to get to school. "Jack can you wait downstairs, I'm getting changed." Akilah said gesturing toward the stairs.
"Can't I stay?" Jack whined with puppy dog eyes. Akilah laughed.
"Fine." Akilah Said giving in. "But no funny business."
"Would I ever?" Jack said pulling off his shirt and grabbing a fresh one. Akilah raised her eyebrow signifying yes. She was happy Jack opened up to her. The worst thing a guy can do is lie. Lies rock the boat.
Jack
"C'mon! You did it before!" Jack laughed. Akilah shook her head, her long hair followed. "Get on and we can get coffee on the way.
"My ONLY weakness." Akilah whined. She unsurely clipped on her helmet and jumped on. God, he loved it when she held on for dear life. It made her feel close.
When the pair pulled up to the silver gates, they were ten minutes early. That meant no need to hurry. Jack put his arm over Akilahs shoulder. "You'd never lie to me would you?" Akilah asked.
"Never! I wouldn't be able to." Jack exclaimed. Akilah nodded. Then Jamal ran up to them. "Oh, hey dude. This is my girlfriend, Akilah." Akilah backed up behind Jack.
"Oh, hello darling." Jamal smirked. Jack suddenly felt defensive.
