Chapter 4 - Chapter Four: The Dragon Council

One day, as James and Lily were exploring the valley, they noticed a group of dragons flying overhead. There were five of them, and they were much larger than James and Lily.

James and Lily had heard rumors of a group of dragons who governed the other dragons, but they had never met them before. The dragons in the group were known as the Dragon Council, and they were said to be the wisest and most powerful dragons in the land.

James and Lily watched in awe as the Dragon Council landed in the valley. The five dragons were a sight to behold. They were all different colors, with scales that shimmered in the sunlight. They were much older and larger than James and Lily, with eyes that seemed to hold the wisdom of ages.

The Dragon Council approached James and Lily, their massive wings folded against their backs. James and Lily were nervous, not sure what to expect.

One of the dragons, a magnificent gold dragon, spoke first. "We have heard of your presence in this valley," he said. "We have come to speak with you."

James and Lily were amazed that the Dragon Council had even heard of them. They had been trying to keep a low profile, not wanting to attract any unwanted attention.

The gold dragon continued. "We know that you are both humans reborn as dragons. We also know that you are new to this world, and that you have much to learn. That is why we have come to offer our guidance."

James and Lily were grateful for the offer, but they were also hesitant. They didn't know these dragons, and they weren't sure they could trust them.

The gold dragon seemed to sense their hesitation. "We understand that you may be wary of us," he said. "But we are here to help you. We have been guardians of the dragon world for centuries, and we have much knowledge to share. Will you allow us to teach you?"

James and Lily looked at each other, and then back at the Dragon Council. They knew that they still had much to learn about being dragons, and that the Dragon Council might be their best chance for survival in this new world.

"We accept your offer," James said, bowing his head. "We are grateful for your guidance."

The Dragon Council nodded in agreement. "We will teach you all that we know," the gold dragon said. "And together, we will ensure that the dragon world thrives."
