On the drive to the hospital David was Offaly quiet, I looked at him wondering what could be going on in his head to keep him so quiet.
"You know if you keep on staring at me like that you will drill a whole through my face." he said his focus still on the road.
"What are you thinking about?" I asked, "huh?" He chuckled confused as he looked at me.
"Well since we've left the house you haven't said a word to me, what's bothering you?"
"Aren't you a cutie, nothing is bothering me so don't worry to much." He smiled, "stress is bad for the baby, so how about we talk about something to make you feel a lot better." He suggested

As we got to the hospital we found Steph already there waiting for us, guess she was more excited to know the gender than us.
"Oh Steph, you're here already." I said as we walked up to here, "I was so excited that I couldn't sleep last night." She rejoiced.
"Good afternoon sir." She smiled as she looked over at David, "how are you Stephanie?" He asked, "very good, congratulations on the pregnancy."
"Thank you."
As we were about to head in, David suddenly got a phone call. "I'll take this real quick, I'll be behind you."
We nodded and headed inside the hospital with Steph leading the way. The waiting room was bustling with activity, but we managed to find a quiet corner to sit while we waited for David.
Steph was practically bouncing with excitement. "I can't believe I'm going to be the first to know the gender! Are you nervous?"
"A little," I admitted. "But mostly, I'm just excited to finally find out."
Just then, David joined us, looking a bit more relaxed after his phone call. "Everything okay?" I asked.
"Yeah, just a quick work thing," he replied, squeezing my hand. "Let's focus on the big news today."
A nurse called us in, and we followed her to the examination room. The doctor greeted us warmly and began the ultrasound. I held my breath, my heart pounding with anticipation.
After a few moments, the doctor smiled. "Looks like the baby is healthy a growing strong, I'll just recommend you drink more water to keep your body hydrated and stable." She suggested.
"Would you like to know the gender of the baby?" She asked, "yes, but can you please give it to my friend." I replied.
"Okay miss, please follow me." She said as she entered her office with Steph.
A few minutes later Steph came out with a paper in her hand with the biggest smile on her face. "Are you ready to know what you're having?" She asked excitedly, I smile a nodded my head. "Oh sorry bestie, you have to wait." She smiled.
"Here are the pictures you requested for miss." The doctor handed me the ultrasound pictures.
We left the examination room with the ultrasound pictures in hand, my heart swelling with happiness. Steph was practically buzzing with excitement, her smile never fading.
As we made our way back to the car, Steph kept the envelope close to her chest, teasing us with playful remarks about the gender reveal. "This is going to be so much fun! I already have a few ideas for the party."
David chuckled as he opened the car door for me. "You're really getting into this, aren't you, Steph?"
"Absolutely!" she replied, sliding into the backseat. "I love planning events, and this is a big one."

In a conference room Third pov:
"Father that's impossible! You can't just take what's rightfully mines and give to that runaway!" A man exclaimed.
"That's enough out of you Alan!" The old man added on, "you're brother is about to get married and have a child, so it's only understandable if I hand the business over to him."
"Bullshit father, aren't I married, Don't I have kids also?!" He snapped, "Just because that runaway is now having a child you want to treat him as your child! You think after 20 years of going aloft he would be able to take care of the underground business?!"
The tension in the conference room was palpable. Alan's face was flushed with anger as he stood, fists clenched, glaring at his father. The old man, his expression stern and unyielding, sat at the head of the long, polished table. Around them, the other board members and family associates watched in uneasy silence, unsure of where the confrontation might lead.
"You think just because David is coming back into the fold, he deserves everything handed to him on a silver platter?" Alan continued, his voice rising. "I've been here, working my ass off, making sure everything runs smoothly. And now, you want to hand it all over to him?"
The old man, Mr. Smith, remained calm. "Alan, this is not just about business. It's about family unity and the future."
"Family bullshit! You know you Don't care about him, In his 30 years of living you have never been!" Alan added, "So why now?!"
"Look Alan, David has succeed in the two business he brought up so it's best if we let him take ove-" "SHUT UP!" Alan screamed.
"So why now do you feel the need to care for him, Huh?" He asked again looking back at his father.
Mr. Smith took a deep breath, his expression a mixture of frustration and determination. He looked at Alan, who was still seething with anger, and chose his words carefully.
"Alan, it's not just about care or favoritism. It's about ensuring the longevity and success of our family business. David has shown remarkable skill and resilience in building his own enterprises. His expertise and connections can help us expand and thrive in ways we haven't before."
Alan's eyes narrowed. "And what about me? What about everything I've done for this family? I've been loyal, I've worked tirelessly, and this is the thanks I get?"
Mr. Smith softened his tone slightly, trying to bridge the gap between them. "Alan, your contributions are invaluable. You will still play a critical role in the business. But we need fresh perspectives and new strategies. This isn't about replacing you; it's about strengthening our family legacy."
Alan shook his head, his frustration not abating. "I don't have the time to sit around here and listen to all this hypocrisy!"
He slammed the table and stromed out of the conference room.

"I want you to surprise me, I don't want you telling me anything about the planing." "I want everything to be a surprise." I told Steph over the phone.
"Oh by the way I'll send my mothers number to you, she's been nagging me about everything so I decided to let her help you." I said, "that's fine, it'll be great to have her present since she knows what you like." She remarked.
"Okay great."
Suddenly there was a nock at the door, "okay Steph talk to you later." I ended the call and went to open the doo. Once I opened the door there was a skinny tall woman, long brown hair and a face like a doll.
"Oh, sorry did I get the wrong house?" She questioned as she looked around, "can I help you?" I asked.
"I'm looking for David Smith," she replied.
"Well you can tell me whatever you're going to tell him." I told her crossing my arms.
"Sorry Miss but, I can't disclose the matter to you." She remarked, "who is it?" David asked as he suddenly appeared behind me. "Oh Shara you're here, please come in." He said grabbing me by the waist and letting her walk in.
"Mary this is my assistant, Shara this is my fiancé Mary." He introduced us, "nice to meet you." She smiled stretching her hand out to shake mines. I just slightly smiled and walked to the kitchen, I couldn't help but wonder why David needed another woman to help him while I was here free and available.
"Please follow me." David awkwardly smiled as he led her to his office.
After a few minutes later David came out of his office looking worried and confused. "Are you okay?" He asked, "Why didn't you tell me that you hired a woman to be your assistant?"
"More over all why is she here?!"
"She's here for work, you don't need to over think things it's not good for you're health right now." He remarked, "well I don't want her to be here, tell her to leave since she already gave you the documents you needed." I demanded.
"I just need a little help from her, then she will leave." He said "I can help, just tell me what to do." I said.
He smiled and shook his head, "no, you just sit here and look pretty." He said kissing me and heading back to his office.
...…..
12 minutes later as I sat in the living room watching tv they both came out of the office, David was praising her and commending her on her assistance.
"Get home safe." He said opening the door for her, "thank you sir." She smiled and walked out.
"Are you okay?" He asked as he came and sat next to me, I looked over at him and sighed. "Why would you bring her here, you could've done whatever you wanted to do at the office."
"You complain when I go to the office at night, but now you're complaining about calling my assistant to come and help me." He stated,
"You could've called Mr. Yang to bring you the documents and let him assist you, why does it have to be her?" I questioned, "because she's my assistant, not Mr. Yang." He replied.
I rolled my eyes at him, "be honest with me, are you sleeping around with her?"
His jaw dropped at the question, "are you seriously asking me a question like this, I mean look at your condition." He stated, "Why would I be sleeping with her while my woman is here with my baby in her womb?" He remarked.
"Well you're a man and I'm not available to do anything for you since I'm far along with my pregnancy so, you would want to have sex at some point and who's better than you're bangable assistant." I stated.
"or did you hire her just for her looks, am I that ugly to look at that you got a beautiful assistant?!"
David groaned as he leaned back on the couch, "seriously, who do you take me for?" "Do you think I'm that bad?!"
"You used to fuck me and after you would instruct me to find you another woman for you to fuck, so yes you are that bad." I responded.
"Well now I've changed, I've gotten you pregnant and made you my fiancé so no other woman can do it better than you." He claimed as he cupped my face and kissed me.
I pulled away from the kiss, my mind still swirling with doubts and insecurities. "If you ever think about cheating on me or If I find you fucking another woman that would be the end of you."
