"I'm so sorry for everything you heard my love, it would never repeat itself ever again." Maisha dropped the cup of coffee on her husband's table. She's decided to be a good wife and mother from now on, taking care of his breakfast and serving him to the last day of his life. She was going to be humble just like she used to be.
"You should talk to your son about his irritating habits of always sleeping with maids, I know he inherited his father's life trait, but that doesn't mean he could embarrass this family." Donovan took the coffee from her and took a sip. "This is different, what brand is this?"
"Oh, that's a new brand from the kitchen, I didn't memorize its name." She said arranging scattered files on the table. "Tell the maids I want this brand every day." He declared. "There's no point in telling them, let me take good care of you sweetheart, from now on you're my responsibility." She smiled keeping the files in a place.
"You don't have to work yourself out, we've outgrown that stage of trying to impress each other." "Yes I know, but the only stage we haven't outgrown is the love stage. You forget so soon how much I love and care for you." She tilted her head closer for their lips to touch. "How can I forget that honey." Donovan took another sip of the tea.
"Any word from your daughter?" She frowned slightly at his question, "That son of yours Liam is really doing too much, he's taken her out of the city along with his wife." She stated in disgust. "Don't sound that way."
"What way? That Liam would take a married woman away from her husband?"
"She said she was getting abused you know Liam would not tolerate that, not for Jesse, the one person that loves and supports him more than the rest of us." He stated. "That's bull shit, Ethan said he never raised a finger on her, she ran away cause he screamed at her."
"Jesse's a child who has been hit countless times by you, so how can she run away cause he yelled at her? Doesn't everything sounds suspicious?" He took another sip of his coffee. "I don't think Ethan is lying remember all his sacrifices just for Liam to free Dax and Rafael to be free. After making such a sacrifice, why would he try to hurt our child?"
She went on to say, "Elsa has a bad influence on Jesse, that girl's a spoilt brat and she putting her bad attitude into Jesse." She sat on a chair opposite Donovan's, "I filed a case against the Lewinskys for abducting my little 18year old. I think Liam found out that's why he took her away, it's no case of she's with her elder brother."
"How could you make such an unreasonable decision when you know she went to them willingly? She should have come to us but she knows we wouldn't believe anything she says. You should normalize listening to your children rather than taking other people's words over theirs. Don't push them away." He got up and left the study room.
Maisha fumed with anger that had her almost screaming, he always complains no matter what she does, and she couldn't understand why she had to try so hard to impress him. She picked the glass vase on the table and in the next minute, it all shattered on the floor. The noise from the shattered vase had some maids rushing in only to see their madam standing at a corner without a word.
They knew what to do before getting on her black book, and getting their cleaning equipment, they all stepped back into the study room to tidy up the mess created.
While heading back to his room, Donovan could feel an instant pain in his abdomen, and it felt like he was getting paralyzed. "What is wrong with me?" He murmured beneath his voice, he can't die now there was so much he hasn't done. He was yet to accept Liam back into his family again and reconcile with him.
He made a terrible mistake casting him out, as well as taking all his inheritance from him. Donovan fell to his knee spitting out blood as he struggled to breathe, he just realized he's been poisoned. "Dad!" Dad called as he found the man on the floor with blood on his lips.
His world was in chaos seeing the man like this, yes they fought and argued all the time but that doesn't mean he hated the man. He loved the man like every son would his father. His voice had everyone rushing to the hallway only to see Donovan and Dax on the floor.
Maisha's screams could be heard as she cried holding the man on the floor, Wadsworth, being the only sane person at that moment, ordered for the doctor, while the rest took Donovan to his room. They all awaited the doctor's report outside scared of what might happen. "What really happened to your father?" She asked Dax who sat on the floor like a lifeless person. He was still trying to recover from his shock earlier, everything happened so fast from when Donovan fell to his knee and spat out blood to when he fell on the floor struggling to breathe.
"I don't know, I just found him that way." He said calmly. In the next minute, Rafael arrived along with their uncle, distant family members were arriving one after another to see the man. It was sad to know Donovan was at the point of death even if they were yet to hear the doctor's report.
Seeing the faces of each member of their families visit for condolence, Maisha cried all over again, "We just argued a few minutes after the incident, I never knew he was struggling with his life till my Dax called for help." She sobbed. "Wipe your tears, my dear, I'm sure Donovan wouldn't want you to cry if he dies." The woman sitted with Maisha and patted her back tenderly as she spoke.

Hazel stared out her window as she peeked at the new city in awe, she's never been out of the Black's mansion since she was a child, except the day Dax took her out to the doctor. "Dax." She whispered wiping her tears, Jackie is right, she has to forget them. Even if she had no idea why the woman wanted to help her.
They had escaped miraculously and now we're out of that city and hell called a hospital. Most people would find that place a safe haven, but beneath that safe haven was something more than hell. Something deadly and dangerous, a place where they fix and remove human organs, the image still haunts her each time she closes her eyes.
The unbearable pain she felt in there was back, she could feel her stomach churning and her breath hanging. She suddenly began to sweat as she struggled to breathe too, she could hear cries of babies around and immediately appeared in the hospital, in the room where she's been all this while...
"Ahhhhhhh!! Hazel screamed placing her both hands on her ears. She felt a hand on her shoulder and she met her gaze, "It's going to be alright I'm here with you." Jackie whispered for her to stay calm a bit even if she was still shivering.
She cried once more when she heard a baby crying behind her, it reminded her so much of what her child would look like, and how she would have cried. Losing a child was not an easy task for every mother, it doesn't matter if that child was brought out into the world or not.
Jackie had no idea how to calm her down, she cared less about the people staring at them, all she wanted was for her sister to be okay. She's a qualified doctor, and with her papers and years of experience, she could work at a good hospital. She'd be able to provide a better life for herself and her half-sister, it was not like she cared about her worthless life.
As it stands now, she's barely a woman, and neither is she a man. Maisha destroyed her life, she could recall how she almost ended her life, but they retained her instead, cause of how good she was with her profession. She only agreed cause she had nowhere to go, she had no future so it was best she died there. But now she's met Hazel, she had hoped to live again.

Two pairs of well-polished brown shoes walked through the first door to an organization, and the next till he arrived before a black big door. He held a document in his hands, but those documents didn't contain the information he had to share with his boss. His heart felt heavy too when he heard it, and after so much pressure, it was decided that he lay out the information to his boss.
A knock was heard from the other end and Liam said come on for Carlos to step in. The man only came when the situation at hand required his attention, he wondered what they've done wrong this time that requires his attention. The work at hand was too much and he was still trying to get things together.
"State your reason for coming Carlos," Liam said his eyes never leaving his laptop. "It's about your father sir." Carlos pointed out. "What about him?
"He's sick Sir." He watched his boss pause and then continued with what he was doing. "So?" Came his curt question, "He's near his end, Mrs. Maisha has asked for your presence, it's time to read the will and the lawyer says he wouldn't do it without you."
