Elsa stared at her friend who looked paler and unkempt than usual, what happened to her? They weren't meant to see each other till the next day which was their final week in high school. "Elsa I need to talk to you," Jesse announced finding her way inside the bar, if talking to Elsa about Liam would change everything, then so be it.
The madness between herself and Ethan had to end, it was time she stay away from him till maybe when she was done with college. She has sworn not to return to him, she'll never return to him, not after all he's put her through. "Hello, Liam." Greg narrowed his eyes staring at the familiar figure before him. She's grown a lot but has changed in just a few months, he wondered what was wrong with her, he wondered why she was this way, the last time he saw her or heard from her, she was married.
Elsa walked up to Jesse, helping her sit on a sofa a bit far from where the others sat. It was quite obvious Jesse needed her attention, she could see the pain in her best friend's eyes. She took her drink along with a glass of water to which Jesse gulped all of it at once. "Are you alright?" Elsa asked calmly.
"Are you aware Liam has kept Dax and Rafael hostage for months now?" Jesse asked in a whisper, they say only Elsa can help release her brothers. Because of how desperate they've become, they've pushed her to the wall, and the people she calls her family has tormented her physically, emotionally, and psychologically. "He has?" Elsa whispered back shocked at Jesse's words.
She glanced back at the man who had his back facing them, it was obvious Liam was not enjoying his conversation with Greg, especially with Camela around. "Haha, it was so stupid of my dad to think I'd get married to any man he picks against my will. I'm so sorry for the inconvenience Mr. Black, unfortunately, I heard about his plans." She apologized immediately.
She wanted to clear the air, she wanted to erase the desperacy linked to her name and personality. Even if she wanted this man, even if it's just for a night she didn't want to look desperate. For months she's thought of ways to get him back, the last humiliation she got has not been forgotten, but she's forgiven him. Camela would do anything to get close to him.
"No need to be formal Camela, Liam's family, so are you." Greg cut in confidently. Camela stared at the man beside her who had a nonchalant expression on. She wanted to hear those words from Liam and not Greg, how can one man be this stubborn? She is a beautiful woman, the type that has men pleading and fighting to have her, but this man has made her feel insecure. Especially with his wife present.
"Perhaps we could stay here tonight since it's already pretty late?" Camela initiated staring at Liam to at least get a reaction from him, something she could stand upon. She watched him consume all of his liquid with one gulp turning another into the empty glass. "Of course, we can, don't worry about that my love," Greg responded with a smile, but still glanced at Jesse from time to time. He couldn't tell why he was suddenly drawn to her, it was totally a crazy thing to do or even think about.
Aside from Liam killing him, the Anakins and the Blacks might destroy him being that his family isn't as strong as theirs. She might look all dirty and messed up, but that didn't hide her beauty.
.
"You need to talk to him to let them go please, no matter what they're family. I know They did bad things to you and brother Liam, but please forgive them for my sake." "I... I had no idea Liam had them abducted." Elsa confessed it was hard forgiving Dax and Rafael, especially with everything they've both done to her. She would have been raped in that establishment or even by Brietbart if Liam had not miraculously returned to her.
Somehow deep inside her, she wanted them to suffer the same way she did, she wanted them to go through everything she went through. Elsa tried to keep her emotions at bail just so that the man sitted not too far from them will not listen to their conversation.
If Liam knows more than he already does, he would not think twice about killing them both. "I'm sorry on their behalf, please talk to Liam, I know he listens to you." Jesse was desperate to end her suffering too, living with Ethan is like hell right now cause of Dax and Raf. She would end their relationship once all of these are over, but for now, she needs an excuse to stay with Liam longer, she's only safer in his hands.
Elsa let out a sigh, it's not like she would love it if they were dead, Dax has been like a brother to her even if he turned against her cause of his feelings. "I'll talk to him, you should get some rest now. Let's hope Liam would listen." She held Jesse by the hands and took her to her room.
She only hoped Liam would listen to her, she could attest to how stubborn he is, there's no way he would release them, especially after everything they did to her. But she has to convince him and maybe offer something in return. She wasn't doing this for herself, one thing Elsa cannot do is see her best friend suffer when she can be of any assistance. Both girls stepped into a room chosen for Jesse to prolong their little chit-chat.
She wanted to know why Jesse appeared in their mansion uninvitedly looking all disorganized. From her pale skin and more slender body, she could tell something was not right. She watched Jesse step into the bathroom for a quick night bath so they could have dinner together.
"Why do you have that mark on your neck?" Elsa asked the girl that has just gotten out of the bathroom in her towel. As an experienced abuser, she could already guess her friend was being physically abused.
"It's nothing." Jesse tried covering the mark but her towel was not long enough, she regretted why she foolishly let her guard down. There's no way she'll tell Elsa about being physically abused by Ethan.
.
"There are no maids around, we should cook dinner Greg." Liam's mind was on the little woman that left his sight earlier, he wondered what his sister would be doing in their mansion unannounced. Maybe she's terrified by his gift as Alan has told her.
"What do you take me for Liam, a servant, you know I can't cook." Liam raised to his foot, "I can cook, I can help you." At this point, Liam regretted why he sent his chef far away from this city. What was he even thinking? All the little naughty plans he had for his wife has been ruined by unwanted visitors. He already started his game of seduction and she already fell for it.
It'll take a little touch to turn her on completely, tonight was meant to be different being that he would be away for some time. He would miss her more than ever, they would have gone wild tonight, he would have showed her another side of him, how the devil in him wants to devour her crazily. How the devil is head over here for her, how his monster craves for her.
"It's quite a shame your wife doesn't know how to cook, you know my mother says that's the best quality in every woman. That's what makes us women, perhaps I can give her cooking classes some time?" She suggested slicing some vegetables while the men did other things.
"It turns out I have the best taste when it comes to women, don't I dear friend?" Greg asked feeling proud of his recent accomplishments. "I can help with that." She took the beef from Greg just to stand next to the man of her dreams. Camela was so excited, she's never cooked before, but for this man, she was ready to go for it for the rest of her life.
She wanted to prove herself worthy of his love, she wanted to get close to him, and for tonight she's achieved more than she thought she could. He may give her a cold attitude, but she believes if she continues he might also learn to love her. Greg excused himself from the kitchen to get the table ready, leaving the other two in the kitchen.
"What do you want with Gregory?" She heard his deep cold voice in the empty kitchen, one which instead of fright turned her on. "What are you talking about?" Playing dumb is one of the games she's never lost, if ever there was a trophy given for it, she would win it all the time and even be crowned the queen of it.
"You were banned from this mansion, don't cross your limits." His tone was calm as always with a deadly whiff. She could already feel her body freezing from his stare, her heart was beating faster than usual finding its way out of her chest. They were just a few inches apart, she never thought they'd stand this close to each other. It was clear Liam belongs to her she could not stop staring at those alluring eyes. She was drawn to those eyes.
"Liam," Elsa called for him to meet her gaze.
