'Argh! That old man.' She groaned inside then slowly turned her attention back to the dangerous guy, knowing that if she didn't speak the truth now she wasn't going to get out of here alive as she might die at any moment from anxiety.
"It... It... It is actually your grandfather... He... He... He sent me to keep an eye on your movements," She quickly started while crying inside...
Carl's expression darkened further and he clenched his fists. "Speak," he probed further while wondering why the old man would have someone spy on him after abandoning him and his brother many years ago.
'What have I gotten into?' Kelly gulped nervously and felt like breaking into tears. Feeling the dangerous aura from this guy increased with each second she started shifting on the couch, and seeing that the situation had advanced to this extent, she doesn't have a choice even though she knew that this wasn't the right time to tell him.
"It... It was your grandfather__ he actually has your girlfriend," She blurted out then sighed inside exasperatedly.
"What girlfriend are you talking about?" Carl muttered subconsciously while his eyes widened slightly as he stared dazedly at the girl then he chuckled darkly after some seconds and his expression turned cold.
"I__ I s...swear, I'm really speaking the truth." Kelly shook her head rapidly while watching the guy's expression fearfully then she hurriedly added, "Your girlfriend, she didn't actually die, y... your grandparents have her."
"What? Clara?" Carl exclaimed as his eyes widened again while his heart started beating rapidly and by then he had already sprung up from the couch. Watching the girl's expression, he had comprehended that she wasn't just bluffing out of fright. But how could this be possible? 'Clara is not dead?'
Kelly quickly nodded then sighed in relief, after seeing that the guy had finally believed her. "But__" she was about to continue talking when the guy suddenly grabbed his car keys from the table and rushed out of the room.
"Wait!!!" She called out with widened eyes, however, he was already out of the door and she sighed exasperatedly then hurried inside the bedroom and picked up her bag before coming out and rushing after the guy.
When she ran out of the room, the long hallway was already empty and her head snapped in the elevator's direction whose door had suddenly closed and she cursed inside.
She ran toward the elevator, then started tapping into the button rapidly before it could open after some seconds and she hurried inside, sighing in relief that it would take her directly to the parking lot, where the guy would have surely headed.
It took several minutes for the elevator to finally reach down to the parking lot as the hotel has so many floors. And after the door opened again, she ran out and let out another curse, sighting the black car that was already zooming out of the place.
"Wait!!!" She called out to him again, however, the car was already out of her sight and she frantically fidgeted with her bag then finally managed to bring out her keys.
She instantly pressed the small button on the key then quickly located her car which had suddenly blinked twice, before rushing toward it.
After opening the door and entering inside, she quickly fastened her seatbelt then started the car before zooming out of the hotel to follow the black sports car which was driving at a very high speed.
"Argh come on!!!" She groaned agitatedly after some minutes while watching the car which was speeding far ahead with a helpless expression as she was stuck in very long traffic.

Carl sped the car through the highway while ignoring the traffic, as he maneuvered through the many cars on the broad street.
His heartbeat was accelerating by each second as his thoughts wandered back to what the girl had just told him, which kept replaying in his mind.
Clara is not dead? She didn't die in the explosion? How could this be?. Even though he had seen the building bomb down several months ago, he still couldn't come to terms with the fact that he had lost her and had held that small string of hope every day that he would get to meet her one day, maybe after he also leaves the world.
But hearing what the girl had said, even though he was very surprised at the fact that his grandparents had her. However, that is not the most important thing now as his heart continuously thumped in anticipation while hoping that what he had heard was not wrong and he wasn't being deluded.
Glancing down at the GPS, his grips tightened on the stirring wheel after he had increased the car's speed to the maximum degree.
Even though it had been so many years and he was still very little since he last visited his grandparents. The house was very famous in the whole city as it was well known across the country for having the largest garden.
He looked down at the GPS again to make sure that he was going to the right location and he anxiously counted the time in his mind, as the house stood at a very far end of the city and it would take him a lot of minutes before he could finally reach there.

Meanwhile, Inside Kelly's car, the girl groaned and sighed exasperatedly for the umpteenth time seeing that she had totally lost track of the guy after she had finally managed to get out of the traffic.
Although she very well knew the place he was heading to, she knew that it was too late to stop him now as he would have almost reached there.
Slowing down the car's speed, she used one hand to search for her phone which was inside her bag on the other seat, while the other hand was on the stirring wheel.
After managing to retrieve it from her bag, she sighed again then dialed a number which was picked up after a few rings, then came an old man's voice from the other end.
