He stood up from the chair and started walking out of the room amidst their incessant pleas and sobs.
The hotel's manager who was still in shock and stood transfixed at one spot after hearing the word 'fired' finally came back to his senses and his eyes instantly widened tremendously.
"S... Sir" He gulped nervously then quickly followed behind the guy who had already walked away and was almost out of the door.
He paused in front of him with a flabbergasted expression, then stuttered, "S... Sir, d... does that mean that I'm also..." He trailed off while hoping that he wasn't fired just like that because of the stupid security men's recklessness.
"You can count yourself among them if you wish," Carl replied nonchalantly without stopping in his footsteps he walked past the man as he strode out of the large room.
"Th... Thank you, sir, this is a great relief," The manager said after the man who had already left the room. and he sighed in relief then slowly wiped off the sweats from his forehead again before turning back to the security men.
"You all heard the boss, right? You're all fired and don't even try to step your foot in this hotel's premises again!!!... I'm very sure that this is the lightest punishment the boss could think of and you should all be grateful for that!!!' He snapped furiously while glaring at them. Then he turned back and also left the room while thanking God again that he wasn't implicated. And also making a mental note to hire more competent men in the future.

Meanwhile, outside the room, Carl strode toward the elevator with the dark expression still on his face. And he had one hand in his pants pocket while the other fist was clenched tightly.
All the events that had happened last night slowly replayed in his head and his expression darkened further by each second.
Taking out his phone, he dialed a number which was instantly picked up from the other end.
" Where is she?" He muttered coldly and he could hear the person from the other end fumbling with his phone.
"S... Sir, w...we couldn't find her. S... She had suddenly disappeared, I... I think she left the city," The man stammered from the other end while sighing inside in relief. Even as the head of the securities in the state, he would want to risk his life by laying hands on that dangerous girl.
However, he was also afraid of disappointing this man. So it was a great thing that she was nowhere to be found. Seems like Charlotte had finally met her match.
Carl's grip tightened on the phone after listening to the man and he instantly cut off the call while making a mental note to take care of that later, as he had a more pressing matter at hand.
He shoved the phone back into his pants pocket, and after reaching the elevator, he hurriedly tapped in the highest floor's number where his private suite was located then took out his phone again after some minutes while the elevator was still running, as he thought back to those foolish businessmen.
After dialing a number, the call was instantly answered from the other end and he gave some instructions to the person before he hung up the call. and then he strode out of the elevator which had already come to a stop.
Walking toward his private suite, he paused at the door then breathed out another sigh before pushing the door open.
After walking inside the room, his gaze landed on the girl who was curled up on the couch and still sleeping soundly. Then his eyes wandered to the tiny red bruises of finger marks on her body and lingered on them for some seconds.
He slowly walked forward and sat down on the couch opposite her as his gaze had never left her while his expression darkened again.
"Urgh... My head..." Kelly stirred in her sleep after sensing the movement across her. She groaned out loud then placed a hand on her forehead that had started throbbing painfully, apart from the painful ache in her body. And after some seconds, her eyes slowly flickered open which was met with her boss's cold expression.
"Ahhh!" She yelped and instantly sprang up on the couch while staring wide-eyed at him and her body started trembling. "G... Good morning, S... Sir" she softly muttered, while fidgeting with the hem of her blouse as she didn't dare to meet his eyes.
Carl stared at her expression for some seconds then coldly muttered, " What do you want? Why are you following me?"
'Oh, no.' Kelly's heart started beating erratically and she continued fidgeting frantically with the hem of her blouse.
"I don't want to repeat myself," Carl added darkly while watching as she glanced up and lowered her head again.
He knew right from the start that there was something suspicious about this girl since many months ago when he had suddenly received a call from his grandfather who they had not been in contact with for like forever, to hire her as his secretary.
Because she would continuously bump into him in almost everywhere and even last night, he wondered how she knew that he was coming here.
His thoughts wandered back to the old man and his expression darkened more, then he slowly turned his attention to the girl whose body was trembling violently.
Kelly also glanced up at him at the same time and their gazes met then she quickly looked down again while biting her lips. "I... I... I__"
"Speak!" Carl cut her off, as he was slowly losing his patience, and Kelly flinched back fearfully, almost breaking into tears.
'Argh! That old man.' She groaned inside then slowly turned her attention back to the dangerous guy, knowing that if she didn't speak the truth now she wasn't going to get out of here alive as she might die at any moment from anxiety.
