Sighing heavily, he stood up after a while and walked out of the room, then through the hallway where a burly man in black clothes was patiently waiting for him.
"Boss, they have changed their hideout, we couldn't find them at the location Maggie had given us," he muttered respectfully with his head lowered and Zach's expression darkened.
"Shit! those bunch of chickens. They dare to look for trouble and run away!!!" His fists clenched while his expression darkened.
" Follow me, " he muttered to the burly man and they continued walking through the hallway, then entered the elevator which took them to the down floor and they got out and stopped in front of a door.
Inside the room, a girl was obediently cleaning and carefully arranging the several guns and other weapons that were sprawled on the wide metal table.
The huge scar on her face, combined with the gloomy atmosphere around her, added to her ghastly expression and she instantly flinched then her eyes darted to the door's direction which was suddenly opened with a bang.
"Boss," she greeted hurriedly and scrambled toward the guy with her head lowered.
Zach glanced down at her then sauntered toward the only chair in the room and sat down on it, while the burly man stood behind him.
"Crazy girl, are they really the Mamba's? If you're telling lies, you know well what I would do to you," he said lazily with a chuckle while placing one leg atop the other as his stern gaze was fixed on the girl.
Maggie gasped then cowered back a little, with a shiver, and her hand subconsciously wandered to the scar on her face. "I... I was telling the truth boss... They... They're really the Mambas. I... I overheard them mentioned it, and even from their tattoo," She stammered rapidly, not daring to glance up at the crazy guy who had become her nightmare.
Every organization has a tattoo that represents their title and those were surely the Mambas as they all have the Mamba snake tattoo, unlike this organization that everyone has the python snake tattoo.
"Heh." Zach slowly stroked a finger on his chin in a thinking manner and a dark chuckle escaped his throat. He doubted if the Mambas would really have the courage to confront them as they had always kept a low profile and even if fights rises between different organizations, they only watched from a far distance, not daring to intervene.
They are always known as the chickens of the mafia world and only the Vipers which had been annihilated many years ago could be so brazen to attack them. However, the crazy girl was right, judging from their tattoos and masks as the stupid cowards did not dare to reveal their faces. Something is really fishy.
The burly man watched silently as his boss was deep in thought. He is also finding the whole situation funny. Of all the organizations, they are now the only ones at the top after eliminating the Vipers, many years ago. And these Mambas, there's really something mischievous about them. Who knew if they're wolves in sheep's skin and were just waiting for the right time to strike.
Zach snapped out of his thoughts and glanced at the girl, now with a cold expression. "If you haven't seen their leader's face, then who was giving you orders?"
"Th... They were actually many... I... I mean, their leaders, and the one time I saw their top leader, he... he was also wearing a mask. " Maggie felt sweats trickling down her neck and she grimaced inside. How many times does she have to explain herself? '*Sob*' if only she could get out of this messy world and run off to somewhere far away she would instantly grab the opportunity. However, under the custody of this dangerous organization and its dangerous leaders, she knew dreaming is the only thing she could do about freedom.
Her eyes snapped up to the guy who had already stood up and walking toward the door. She flinched slightly as the door was shut with a bang after they were out of the room, then pursed her lips and slowly walked back to the huge table, then continued with what she had been doing.

After driving out of the basement, Carl glanced down again at the phone clutch tightly in his hand while the other hand was on the stirring wheel.
Many thoughts ran through his head as the car slowly approached the city.
He knew he had to go to the province to find out the whole truth but also had to be cautious. Not wanting to think about what will happen if she discovered that they were not her real parent. And he sighed inside, remembering how happy she used to be whenever she spoke about her parents when they were still together.
The ringing sound of his phone broke him out of his thoughts and he glanced down at the caller's name then picked it up.
"Hey dude, we've arrived. Where are you? Did you see my text message?" Ken's excited voice came from the other end and Carl nodded with an "Mm."
He had seen the message about his friend's housewarming party. "Not coming," he said curtly, remembering the mission ahead of him, then listened to his friend's slight gasp from the other end.
"Come on Dude, how can you do this to me? It's your best friend's very first housewarming party and you don't want to come?" Ken whined, hoping the guy will agree already otherwise, Maya was going to slay him.
He also wondered what his wife was up to by insisting to invite his friend who he knew, never liked to attend parties.
Carl's eyes darted to his wristwatch and he looked ahead again, as the car drove through the city. "I'm busy." He hung up the call and sighed inside, remembering that he had so many things to take care of, after slacking off for two weeks while being in the comma.
