Some minutes passed by before her doorbell started ringing and she stood up with a smile, knowing who it was.
Walking toward the door and opening it, her gaze landed on the babies who were dressed in matching cute pink pajamas while holding tightly to the huge teddy bears in their arms.
"Mummy."
"Mummy."
The kids exclaimed in their cute voices and Clara chuckled then bent down and carefully picked them up in both arms after glancing at Lara who was standing behind them in her nurse's uniform with a small smile.
Lara bid them goodnight after kissing the kids on their cheeks then walked away and Clara closed the door after waving at her.
Walking back inside the living room, she placed the kids on the couch then took the juice glass and fruit plate from where her sister had left them and walked inside the kitchen while the babies played with the toys.
She slowly washed the utensils while sighing inside as her thoughts drifted back to that night, then quickly shook the thoughts out of her mind and wiped her hands with a towel.
Walking back to the living room, her gaze landed on the babies who were busily playing on the couch and she sauntered toward them with a soft smile.
"Mummy... Isn't Daddy coming today?" Little Lea turned to her and asked in her cute baby voice while the other twin also gazed at her expectantly.
"Mummy, when will you take us to Daddy?" Little Mia also asked eagerly and Clara felt a headache coming.
The twins had been pestering her for the past few days about their newfound Daddy. 'Argh!' And what was she supposed to tell them.
Clearing her throat, she plastered on a sweet smile then softly muttered, "Babies, he is just a friend of mine, okay? and he's very busy so... " she trailed off and sighed inside, seeing the change in the kids' expression.
The twins pouted then turned to their toys gloomily, seeing that she had given them the same answer again.
"Babies, now don't be sad... Okay?" Clara breathed out a sigh then slowly said, "Lemme get you milk." And she stood up then hurried inside the kitchen.
When she came out with two glasses of milk in her hands, she sighed in relief, noticing that the kids had turned their attentions back to their toys and were playing happily.
Her thoughts wandered to the guy and another sigh escaped her lips. Then she walked forward and gave them the cups of milk with a sweet smile.
Sitting down on the couch, her gaze darted to the flower vase again and she bit her lips then slowly turned to the laptop and continued working on it.

__ At The Basement __
The atmosphere was intense as two guys sat across each other, one with a dark expression while the other one had his head lowered and was slightly quivering in fear.
"Big bro, I swear... I... I didn't mean to do that__ no, I actually forgot to abolish the plan, after finding out that sister-in-law lost her memories," Zach stammered, almost sobbing.
He couldn't recount the many times he had tried to explain himself.
After that night, his brother had locked him away in the basement and had even seized his phone.
He couldn't imagine what would have happened if sister-in-law saw the photos that she had snapped together with his brother.
They would surely make her suspicious and might even trigger her memories.
'Argh!' It was all that David's fault. The guy should have at least give him a signal before carrying out the plan, however, only God knows the kind of punishment the poor assistant is also going through now.
Peeking up at his brother who had not responded and now had his eyes closed, he grimaced inside and continued. "Big bro, please let me out of this place, I... I promise to never meddle again," he said slowly then watched expectantly as his brother slowly opened his eyes.
"Those men, have you tracked them?" Carl ignored his incessant pleadings and asked lazily, with the dark aura, still emanating from him.
"No Big bro." Zach slowly shook his and sighed inside. "It's like those men don't even exist... We couldn't locate them anywhere," he explained carefully, while his expression turned serious, remembering how he had been spending days and night, trying to locate the men that had taken sister-in-law away.
"Mm." Carl nodded and sighed inside. "Continue searching for them," he muttered unhurriedly, then took out his phone and stared at a number which he had been dialing for a few days now but wasn't answered. He sighed inside again, then his brother's voice snapped him out of his thoughts.
"Big bro, don't you think sister-in-law's parent may know something about it? Why don't we go to the province and ask them?" Zach said with knitted brows wondering why his brother had not come up with that idea. Those people will surely know everything.
Carl glanced up from the phone and shook his head with a chuckle. He also knew that the couple would know something about that incident, however,__ " I think they're following someone's instruction," he said affirmatively then stood up.
"Oh." Zach slowly nodded then also stood up and said, "Big bro, doesn't that mean they also knew the mysterious men? Do you think we should go to the province?"
"No," Carl replied calmly and then added, "I'll go alone." Before he started walking out of the room.
"Big bro? Wait, my phone " Zach's eyes widened slightly, and attempted to follow his brother out of the room when the door suddenly closed on his face with a bang.
"Argh! Shit!" He ruffled his hair then slumped down on the couch. Seeing how angry his brother is, something would have definitely happened between him and sister in law.
Sighing heavily, he stood up after a while and walked out of the room, then through the hallway where a burly man in black clothes was patiently waiting for him.
