Zach chuckled darkly with a nod as they walked out of the basement, then they hurried in different directions as several of their men were already outside and battling the dumb guys who dared to intrude on them and even twice for that matter.
Just as he had expected, the men were also wearing masks and even though they were much more in number, his men were already taking them down.
'Hehe'... When was the last time he blew off an enemy's head.' Zach chuckled again as he felt the adrenaline coursed through his body. then he quickly dodged a bullet and hid beside a tree... And in the next second__, two guys who had aimed their guns at him were now sprawled on the ground with one holding his chest while the other one was holding his thigh as they wailed hysterically.
"Shit! I was aiming for the heads," Zach cursed and quickly changed his position to hide behind another tree.
Several sounds of gunshots and cries overwhelmed the whole forest as the battle was becoming intense by each moment. And more men were falling one after another.
Half an hour passed, and everyone was drenched in sweat as both parties were not willing to give up.
"Shit!!! Our number is decreasing rapidly," One of the masked men cursed as he fired a gunshot in a random direction, not caring who would be the lucky guy that would take it.
Two masked men were beside him as they tried to take shelter behind a very large tree. They both nodded in agreement and the one who was holding tightly to his bleeding arm said,
"You are right... But we can't go back in defeat just like last time... Boss is gonna kill us__ Argh!!!" He groaned painfully and in the next second, his companion watched wide-eyed as he lay lifeless on the ground with a bullet hole on his forehead.
"Shit!!! Let's change positions, " One of the remaining two guys said with fear and they quickly took shelter behind another three.
Mark blew the smoke away from his gun with a chuckle then hurried toward his boss while glancing back now and then and firing shots.
"Boss, I don't think they're willing to give up," he said hurriedly with his back on the tree.
"It's perfect__ I want them all to go down today," Zach replied with a chuckle then added, "Make sure you capture some of them this time."
"Yes, boss." Mark quickly nodded then rushed behind another three as he flicked the sweats away from his forehead.
Zach's attention turned to his side, and he called out to his men who were all taking shelter behind the several trees, then signaled them to advance forward and they all nodded and quickly did as told.
He also moved forward and took shelter behind another tree then pressed on the small blue tooth on his ear.
"Zach, how's it going? Have you got rid of them? Should I come over?" Mira's anxious voice came from the other end and Zach chuckled then shook his head.
"No baby, you can't come__ we've taken down most of them." He replied hurriedly after noticing the excitement in the girl's voice.
"But Zach__"
"No, no, no... See ya later," he cut her off then pointed his gun at the flabbergasted man who had suddenly appeared in front of him and fiddling with his gun, obviously out of bullets.
"Ahhh... Seems like you're the luckiest one among the rest__ getting to see this handsome face before you die... Ahhh I'm even jealous." Zach whined then shot his gun at the man's forehead and quickly changed position again.
"Argh!!! Zach." Mira who was still listening from the other end sighed exasperatedly and hung up the call. Seems like her boyfriend is having a good time 'Hmph.'
Zach laughed again then his eyes darted to a corner and he cursed then sprinted toward the girl who was busily firing guns ahead.
"Crazy girl__ what are you doing outside?"
Maggie scoffed inside and ignored him, then continued firing ahead.
"Shit Crazy girl__ I don't care if you lose your life!!!," Zach exclaimed then rushed toward another three. But his Big brother still needed her alive... 'Whatever' he could just pretend like he didn't see her.
The other party was overpowered and after some minutes, the few guys who were still standing alive gave each other nervous glances.
The guy who seemed to be their leader, quickly gave them a signal while gesturing with his hand and they all nodded then started retreating while making sure to dodge the bullets that were continuously aimed toward them.
"Don't let them get away!!!__ Follow them!!!." Zach announced with a dark expression as he watched the men running away in all limbs.
The rest of his men nodded and they all ran after them while firing their guns which took down many of the very few that were left.
They chased after them to the street, out of the forest. However, the masked men who were now six in number were very fast and they all hurried inside the cars that brought them and dashed off.
After some minutes, the sounds of gunshots slowly quieted down and Zach gripped tightly to his gun then cursed for the umpteenth time.
He gestured to his men and they all started walking back to the forest, obviously non of them were harmed.
"Boss, I think this one is alive." One of his men suddenly called out while squatting down beside a man who had a hand pressed on his left chest, where blood was rapidly oozing out from.
Zach rushed toward that direction, through the countless bodies that were lifeless on the ground.
He also squatted beside him and yanked the mask off his face. "Who is your boss? Who sent you?" He grabbed his collar with a snap and asked coldly.
The man coughed hastily and spouted out blood from his mouth. He watched in his blurry vision as the dangerous guy shook him rapidly. Knowing that he couldn't escape here alive, he struggled to get a word out of his mouth, and then__
