Jack was shocked for a second then watched as she carefully arranged the necktie.
"Thank you." He smiled softly after she was done. Then he was about to pull away when she suddenly pulled him back by wrapping both arms around his neck.
"Freya," he whispered with a gasp while staring into her eyes as she slowly leaned closer to him.
With their faces just inches apart, Freya gazed into his slightly widened eyes, and her head slowly dropped with a sigh.
She bit her lips then gradually unwrapped her arms around him and looked up with a soft smile.
Jack gazed down at her then sighed inside and she held his arm while saying, "Let's go."
Jack nodded and they walked out of the room silently and he could feel her arm slowly tightened around his.
** Dinner Party **
In a huge hall at the far side of the mansions.
The luminous lights from the huge chandeliers dazzled brightly against the different types of delicacies spread across the round golden tables below.
Sitting on the chairs were many prominent guests who had graced the event.
Laughter and cheers accompanied by the soft music playing in the hall and the aroma of the foods which were still being served by the servants made the atmosphere in the vast place lively.
Amid the chatters of the guests, their eyes would glance now and then toward the entrance excitedly, eagerly anticipating the arrival of the couple.
Sitting on a larger table in the frontal area, were Jack's and Freya's parents.
With Jack's father trying to comfort his wife, who had been mulling over what the head maid had informed her earlier that day.
Her husband sighed for the umpteenth time and turned to the couples who were totally oblivious to the grim atmosphere around his wife and were also chattering away happily just like the other guests.
"I wonder what those boys are up to... I couldn't see them anywhere," Freya's mother pondered as her eyes wandered around the hall.
Her husband chuckled and shook his head. "You shouldn't worry about them tonight... I wonder why the couples are not here yet."
Jack's mother's eyes snapped in their direction and she gave them a small smile then turned to her husband.
"Oh, they'll be here in no time." The man beamed and fixed his eyes on the entrance.
"Hehe, Alright, brother__"
Freya's mother had not finished her sentence when the light suddenly went out in the hall.
Lots of gasps were escaping everyone's lips as they stared wide-eyed into the darkness, wondering what had just happened. And even the servants that were happily arranging foods on the tables stopped in their footsteps fearfully.
*CLANK*
The sound of falling trays and the shattering of glasses erupted the abrupt silence in the hall.
People trembled in their seats as they glanced around nervously then a loud wail erupted.
** Few Minutes Ago **
"George or whatever you're called!!!. are you sure you can do this!!!?" Mira snapped at the guy who had suddenly snatched the makeup bag from her hand.
The guy chuckled and turned to Clara who was sitting anxiously in front of the mirror. "Leave it to me Mimi... and don't drool when I'm done... Hehe, the name's actually Greg."
He started applying the makeup on Clara's face who was yawning lazily.
"Don't underestimate these guys Mira. I've tasted a fraction of their cunningness," Clara said lazily and shot her eyes while the guy carefully worked on her face.
"Yes Mimi, hehe... Trust us," The other twin said while staring at his brother's work with glee.
"Hey__" he suddenly exclaimed as Mira snatched his phone.
"Give it to me. This will be more convenient." Mira rolled her eyes and started tapping on the phone after retrieving some gadgets from her bag.
Some minutes later, Clara's makeup was finally done and both guys stared at her with glee while Mira's eyes widened with excitement.
"Claire, you really look beautiful."
"Yeah, Claire... Your looks are very outstanding. Hehehe."
Both twins chuckled and Clara's expression instantly brightened then she slowly turned to the mirror.
"I know right? I'll be so beautiful even as a___ Ahhhhhhhhh!!!."
Her eyes widened tremendously as she was met with her reflection on the mirror and she quickly splayed both hands on her thumping chest.
"W..What have you done to me!!!." She turned to the guy with a glare__ ghosts are the things she hated most. and she wasn't sure if she could pull this off.
But she had to do this for her little sister. 'Y..Yes for Lily.'
She had thought he was just going to make her face look paler by applying more powder, just like the ghost in movies.
But what is this!? It was like she was beaten black and blue with the huge black eye bags and the ghastly red lips.
Mira and the twins rolled in laughter as they watched her ghastly expression.
However, this look is so perfect if they want to scare the shit out of the people.
"Hurry, there's no time to lose__ Clara follow Greg, he'll take care of the lights__ George, stay here with me." Mira quickly ordered and turned to the devices in her hand.
Clara and one of the twins hurriedly left the room while Mira was busily connecting some things to the phone.
"Hey! What have you done to my phone," George exclaimed and stared wide-eyed between Mira and the phone which was now attached to so many cables.
Mira rolled her eyes and scoffed. "I'm going to text him... Now go and call the girl, tell her anything believable." She ordered then turned to him sternly."She's very smart, so make sure you don't get caught otherwise__"
"Hehe... what are you gonna do Mimi." The guy chuckled. However, his eyes suddenly widened.
"Whoa, Whoa, please put it away... Hehehe, I'm just joking." He threw both hands in the air while staring wildly at the gun in her hand.
Mira chuckled then dropped the gun back inside her bag.
"You know where to take her right? Now go," she said nonchalantly and continued arranging things inside the bag.
The guy quickly nodded and flailed out of the room with a hand on his chest.
