She doesn't also want to continue seeing that weird Matt again. This area is full of so many memories she wants to forget, especially the night Carl had saved her from this street.
She stopped in her footsteps just a few feet from the convenience store while staring at the area where she had almost lost her life that night. ' Carl.' She looked down with a sigh and bit her lower lip then a tear trickled down her face.
" Big Sis." Lily turned to face her worried and sighed heavily then quickly wiped her tear. " Let's go back, " she said softly and Clara slowly nodded then they turned back and started walking toward the apartment building.
They walked back silently with Lily holding lightly to her sister's hand while glancing at her now and then with a sigh.
When they entered the apartment building and started walking up the stairs they suddenly bumped into Matt who was now dressed in clean clothes with a big backpack flung over his right shoulder.
" Adios Angels." Matt chuckled and waved them goodbye with a wink then skipped downstairs.
" Let's go, " Lily said softly and pulled her sister who was still staring at the guy's back in shock.
" Big Sis?" She softly called out with a sigh and Clara broke out of her trance then continued walking with her sister.
Just for a second, she had seen Carl in him. ' that wink.' She sighed inside and splayed a hand on her burning chest.
When they entered her apartment Lily walked her toward the couch and she sat down and dropped her head while looking down at her laps with an indescribable emotion. What is happening to me? She sniffed and placed a hand on her chest again.
" Big Sis, let me get my book. I'll be right back, " Lily said softly, and after watching her sister nod. she turned back and walked toward the bedroom.
Entering the bedroom, she walked toward the bedside table and bent down then drew open the drawer and picked a textbook with her glasses.
She was about to push the drawer back inside when she suddenly heard a fit of cough and quickly stood up with her book then rushed toward the living room.
Clara coughed frantically with a hand covering her mouth and after it had subsided she stared down at her palm and a tear dropped from her eyes and fell on it.
" Big Sis!!!?." Lily gasped with widened eyes and the book in her hand fell on the floor with a plop.
She stood transfixed at the same spot while staring at the blood on her sister's palm with shock.
So the trace of blood she had seen on the bathroom's floor__ " Big Sis." She quickly rushed toward her and started sobbing.
Clara sniffed and wiped her bloodstained lips then patted her sister's back with her clean palm.
Lily hugged her tightly then looked up anxiously. " Big Sis, we have to go to the hospital. No, wait I have to inform Dad," she said rapidly and quickly stood up.
" Let's go inside and wash your hand." She helped her up and Clara nodded then they walked inside the bedroom.
" Don't worry I'll wash it, " Clara said softly and entered the bathroom while Lily nodded with a sniff then rushed to the bedside table and quickly carried her phone.
She hurriedly dialed a number and rushed toward the living room then sat down on the couch.
" Dad..., please help." She sobbed, immediately the call was picked from the other end.
" Lily, what is wrong? Did something happen? Are you sick again?" Came her father's anxious voice and she slowly shook her head.
" It's Big Sis Dad... She's not alright," She replied softly with a sniff and listened to her father's gasp.
" Clara? What happened to her? What is wrong with her? Quick tell me!" Her father asked anxiously from the other end.
Lily's sobs increased and she slowly recounted to him everything that happened.
" Lily are you crazy!!! Why didn't you inform me earlier... and even in the province!!!?"
She flinched from her father's outburst and cried softly.
" I'm so sorry Dad... I'm sorry"
The man sighed from the other end after calming down. " Lily, you know how precious she is to us... How can you let this happen?"
" I'm sorry, " Lily sniffed and wiped her tears.
" It's alright, don't cry. I'll send you an address. You should take her there later. Okay?" He added with a sigh and she slowly nodded.
"Okay Dad, thank you," Lily replied then hung up the call.
She stood up from the couch and walked toward the bedroom where she found her sister laying on the bed.
Walking forward, she also lay down beside her and stared into her lifeless eyes.
" Big Sis, we'll go and meet someone later. He'll help us with your problem... Okay? " she said softly and watched as her sister slowly nodded.
Clara sighed with her hand still splayed on her chest whose ache was intensifying with every moment.
__ That Night __
Lily walked her out of the apartment as her body was becoming weak with every minute and she had even come up with another fever.
" I'm so sorry Big Sis, I should have informed Dad earlier, " she muttered softly in regret as they carefully descended the stairs.
Clara gazed at her in her slightly blurred vision and slowly shook her head. " It's not your fault Lily. besides, I'm very grateful that you're here, " she replied in her barely audible voice as they walked out of the apartment building.
" Don't worry... after we meet Dad's friend... I'm sure you'll be fine, " Lily added softly while holding her arm to keep her from falling and she nodded then they entered the taxi which had just stopped in front of them.
Lily took out the paper on which she had scribbled down the address and extended it to the driver from the backseat while saying, " Can you take us to this place please."
The man stared at the paper with knitted brows then glanced at the rearview mirror to look at the girls once more.
