" You should also eat, " Clara said softly after a while and Lily shook her head.
" I'll eat later, " she said with a small smile then continued feeding her.
After she was done, she gave her the cup of water then said, " Let's take a stroll outside... Okay? It will help you clear your thoughts"
"Okay..." Clara nodded then bit her lips and sighed inside. She watched as her sister stood up with the tray then walked out of the bedroom and tears slowly trickled down her face with a hand pressed on her chest.
She sobbed silently, and slowly stood up after some minutes then walked inside the bathroom.
Lily returned from the kitchen and could hear a fit of cough from the bathroom.
A sigh escaped her lips and she walked toward the wardrobe then retrieved two clothes and placed them on the bed.
She sat down and after a while, frowned slightly and stood up toward the bathroom then slowly knocked on the door. " Big Sis... are you alright?" She called out softly then sighed in relief after hearing her sister's weak reply.
Shortly after, Clara walked out of the bathroom with her head down to hide her puffy eyes from her sister.
She sighed inside after hearing the bathroom door closed behind her sister then picked up a hairdryer and started drying her hair while staring into the mirror with dull eyes.
After she was done, she picked up one set of clothes from the bed and slowly wore it.
Some minutes later, the bathroom door opened and Lily came out with a slight frown. " Big Sis... are you in your period, " she asked softly.
" Huh?" Clara's eyes widened slightly and she slowly nodded then sat down on the bed.
Lily's frown deepened and she stared at her for some seconds then sighed and walked toward the mirror.
After she was done dressing, she took her sister's hand and they walked out of the apartment.
" Shit! Old Man, I'm getting out of here. Can't believe I spent the whole night getting rid of them... And besides, those boys don't even respect me."
Hearing the voice coming from downstairs, they both stopped in their footsteps and Clara gasped at the sight of the figure striding toward them then quickly hid behind her sister.
" Geez, don't you even care for your son?... Yeah, whatever. I'm out of here." Matt hung up the call and glanced up at the girls standing in front of him. He paused in front of them while a smirk appeared on his lips.
" What do you want?" Lily asked calmly and glanced down at his bloodstained clothes and the knife cuts on his arms.
" Awwn little mermaid, I like your attitude ___ come here." Matt instantly grabbed her hand and continued walking up the stairs.
" You... L..Let go of my sister, " Clara said in her hoarse voice with a gasp and quickly followed behind them.
Matt frowned slightly then slowly turned back." No, scaredy-cat. You stay there. You can't handle it, " he commanded with a grin and Clara felt a spine ran through her body as she stilled in one spot, and watched worriedly as he dragged her sister upstairs.
" What is it!" Lily snapped and yanked her hands off his tight grip.
" Now be good." Matt chuckled then flipped her around and trapped her between the wall.
" W..What do you think you're doing." Lily's expression darkened and she tried to push him away then he held both her hands and pressed her against the wall.
Matt slowly lowered his head and positioned his mouth around her ear then whispered. " Now, listen to me carefully... You'd better get your sister out of this place... Her life is in danger."
'What!?' Lily's eyes widened and she stared at him in astonishment. Her thoughts wandered to yesterday and she gasped. " I..Is it Zach?"
" Huh?" Matt stared into her eyes for some seconds then burst into a fit of laughter.
" Hahahaha!!!......Zach? Hahahaha..." He laughed loudly then after a while paused and stared at the girl who was staring back at him with furrowed brows then chuckled.
" Ahhhh, it would be great if it was that boy, " he said dreamily and chuckled again.
" Then who?" Lily inquired worriedly and he shook his head with a grin.
" I don't know. I don't care. . . anyways I'm out of here. Better move out soon, " he replied nonchalantly then released her.
Lily gasped when he turned back and was about to leave. " Wait... Who are you, " she asked hurriedly and Matt turned around with a chuckle.
" Hehe, I'm someone you should be wary of, Beauty, " he replied then dashed away while saying, " I've got a flight to catch."
Lily stared at his back while her frown deepened. she glanced downstairs and a sigh escaped her lips then started walking.
" Lily, what happened? He didn't harm you right?" Clara rushed toward her sister as she descended the stairs.
Lily stared at her and slowly shook her head with a soft smile. " No Big Sis. . . let's go." She grabbed her hand and they continued walking down the stairs.
Clara frowned slightly and glanced at her then asked again in her hoarse voice. " Are you sure? But you took so long."
" He was just asking about pieces of stuff. Big Sis... don't worry, " Lily replied with a small smile and Clara slowly nodded.
They walked out of the apartment building and silently strolled on the street side while many vehicles passed by on the street.
Lily glanced at her sister after some minutes and sighed inside. " Big Sis, why don't you move out of this apartment? After I move to school, you'll feel lonely here... and I can see that most of your neighbors are also packing out, " she said softly and Clara broke out of her thoughts then slowly nodded.
Her sister is right. Their neighbors had complained about hearing several gunshots at night. And even Lara had moved out. She doesn't also want to continue seeing that weird Matt again. This area is full of so many memories she wants to forget, especially the night Carl had saved her from this street.
