Buck advanced closer towards the thugs acting like an innocent child who was lost and scared, he had his head down but he was alert to the movements of the thugs wanting to catch them off guard when their defence was down then strike going straight for the one with the knife
But the thugs didn't lower their weapons and approached Buck ready to swing not caring about the look of being an innocent child or hesitation at harming another human let alone a child
As soon as the man with the broken bottle swung on Bruce with an over-the-shoulder right-hand buck took a step back dodging the swing
Though a large swing is powerful it is slow and easy to dodge for those who are trained to fight
After dodging the man with the knife stepped up and took the knife and pushed it forward aiming for the lungs of buck
This time it came fast and was harder to dodge but Buck saw the path of the knife and sidestepped to the right letting the knife pass by him
He then grabbed the wrist of the man and twisted it forcing him to let go of his grip on the knife
Buck was about to grab the knife but the man with the knife did a straight punch using his left hand
This forced Buck to give up grabbing the knife and once again take a step back to not get hit which was followed by another large swing of the man with the bottle
Not giving Buck the chance to attack or attack and risk getting injured Buck could only continue to dodge the relentless assault using minimal movement to keep himself safe and conserve energy
Buck was a proficient swordsman but had never been taught in-depth hand-to-hand combat so he was relying on his athleticism from years of fencing as well as the instinct and movements he gained from all his years of practice
When he spotted another overhead swing Buck saw the opportunity to spring into action as the other man was beginning to slow down due to exhaustion
Buck used the momentum of his opponent and grabbed the arm of the man with the bottle and twisted it to swing into himself then pushed further letting the glass go deeper into his lungs
With one down Buck focused back onto the other man who was currently sweating and no longer had a smirk on his face, the man then ran back to grab his knife letting Buck see the back of his enemy
Buck dashed forwards catching up to the man as he bent down to grab the knife but Buck managed to jump on top of the man and wrap his arm around the neck of the man while his legs gripped around the waist of the man holding him in place with his body weight
The thug clutched the knife in his hand but was stopped from moving his arm when Buck used his spare hand to hold down the wrist of the thug
Then with his other hand, he wrapped his hand around the face of the thug and dug his thumb into the eye socket of the thug causing him to scream out a bone-chilling scream heard from a distance away in the streets causing the people who were nearby to quicken their pace and walk away from the scream not looking back
The thug feels the piercing pain from getting his eye squashed and passed out from the level of pain he's never experienced before
Buck then grabbed the knife and stuck it into the neck of the thug finishing him off, buck sat on top of the thug's body breathing heavily as he was exhausted after that struggle, even though he came out o it unharmed he believed the thugs were stronger than they looked, stronger then what you would find from a thief in a modern city at least.
"It seems that people over here might be stronger physically and mentally, normally they would run away when one of them saw blood" Buck contemplated
He then rummaged through their pockets and found some notes and coins with numbers printed on them
Buck inspected the currency of some coins, they were some round silver and gold coins with some small silver coins with the number 1 on them and some large silver with 100 on them while the notes had large numbers with several zeros on it
Buck then stuffed the money into his pockets grabbed the knife and cleaned it on the thug's clothes and put it on his side using his waistband to hold it in place and left the alley
Seemingly blending in with the crowd as though nothing ever happened and following the flow of traffic
As he followed the traffic of people he came upon a harbour where it seemed like most people were going to work there
Buck took a look around the harbour to see what a normal day is like for the average person in this world and found that it wasn't many different people just turned up for work and got to it
Though Buck did notice that people were a lot nicer here than in his city, he thought that maybe without all the stress of the city and loud noisy polluted streets let people feel more at ease or maybe because it's just a different world they may have different chemicals going through their bodies that allows for them to be happier more of the time,
another thing he noticed was that the boats weren't that technologically oriented and weren't nearly as big as some big metal ships in his world, 'it might be a bit hard to live in a technologically deprived world but it wasn't like I had indulged much in that side of the world considering I couldn't buy a new phone every year like some people and had to make it last as long as it allowed, but there might be some communication difficulties and safety issues, but I've never been one to enjoy street cameras watching me.'
