Darcel walked and walked but it felt like they were going in the wrong direction, that is the direction of the dungeons where she was earlier held and was being tortured.
Darcel knew this because she was trained to survive in the dark and to use all her senses to gather as much info as she could, which she really did.
"So,what are you going to do with me?" Asked Darcel in a nonchalant tone, she didn't want the guard to get suspicious and flew .
"I don't understand what you mean" the guard said without stopping,he sounded like he really didn't know what Darcel was asking.
Darcel slowly heaved a sigh ,because now at least it was clear that he still hadn't got that Darcel understood that something was wrong.
"I will follow him for now as I have to make sure who it is?"thought Darcel, her hands clenched into a fist.
If there was something that was clear it was that, people have come to know about her identity and she has to now take quick actions, and not to mention there was her junior who was sent by the organisation, that meant more danger.
Darcel snapped out of her thoughts on noticing the fire torches getting dimmer and almost exhausted as they walked farther from the castle walls and corridors.
"Just a bit farther,Me.Darcel."said the guard taking a sneak peak at the young man,in order to make sure he was still following him.
On reaching a far corner of the castle where there was little to no light present at all and the only way to see what was in front of them was the light source provided by the nature creatures, fireflies.
With the help of the dim light ,Darcel was able to see a solid white stone wall which was carved with Dolomite rocks;two swords were placed on the face of the wall in a criss-cross manner ,with a shield in between them.
Darcel noticed that the man shifted to the right side of the wall and uttered something. Soon a "clich..ch" noise was heard and the door moved to the left side with a cracking sound living behind the transparent darkness followed by some short of stairs.
"Mr.Darcel ,this way please ." Said the man, with a slight smile which was no less than a wicked devilish smile.
Darcel slowly came forward and turned to the right side corner to face the man who was still standing stiff,as a soldier, not only that he was standing still but there was a mirth in his eyes,a mirth that clearly shows the joy that comes from trapping their target.
"Sir, now you don't want to delay and make His Highness wait, do you?" Said the soldier, with the same still face yet with a faded grimace.
Darcel walked slowly towards the passage and started to descend down with careful steps her hands were still clenched in fist but this time they were shivering and the blue veins that weren't visible earlier spotted up.
Suddenly, she smelled a faint perfume, it smelled like lots of orchids had blossomed together and were trying to lure her to them.
"Orange peptides, but how is that possible?" Darcel thought, he felt that slowly his eyes were turning heavy as he was descending further down the stairs.
Soon, her legs started shaking as if complaining to her to stop and kneel down, give up and surrender to her destiny.
Then suddenly she sat down with heavy gasps that escaped from her lips and her skin turning red.She heard footsteps coming towards her.
"Yo, I thought you could hold on a bit longer.Never thought you were so weak." Said the guard, his lips twitching and curling into a smile.
He slowly walked towards her and when he was about to turn her and see whether Darcel was unconscious or not.
Darcel flipped over and with her icy spark magic attacked the men's leg and stood up.The guard fell down with a pierce pain in his leg,he winced in pain but it was a low murmur .
"Y-you knew all along that, I was misleading you." He said, his face turned red with pain and anger while he gritted his teeth and his fangs could be slightly seen.
"Who sent you? Whom are you working for and what was your motive?" Asked Darcel slowly, moving towards the kidnapper.
However, he laughed and said,"what do you think?",he continued with his browns widened up and slightly moved upwards,"you will soon know, so save your breath."
After telling that he bit his tongue and within some seconds he lay dead.Darcel didn't comment and stood there, She was feeling angry but didn't show it to process her thoughts.
"I should get out of here now and meet that prince or else who knows what punishment I may suffer." Said Darcel, while looking at the dead corpse.
She slowly moved towards the corpse, put her hand above the forehead and pulled out a little black thing and as soon as he pulled that out the corpse disappeared into thin air like flowers dispersing their pollen in the wind.
Darcel moved from there and came outside of that hollow space, closing it with the knob.
She walked down the corner when someone called her name which made her turn but this time a bit guarded as if ready to attack.
"Mr. Darcel, you are late and, His Highness is waiting for a long time, hence I am here to fetch you." Said the man, without any expression on his still face.
"How would I know that you are telling the truth?" Asked Darcel.
To which the soldier put his hand inside his trousers pocket and fetched a token that was given to the real guards of the Palace.
Darcel knew that only guards can have that and even if this guard is here for a motive for the time being, He cannot do anything as the token can put on the security alarms.
"Ok, I will go but let me scan you." Said Darcel, as she was still not sure about this guard.
The guard nodded because he knew that if he didn't cooperate with him he might lose his life as this fella before him is personally chosen by the crown prince to be his guard.
Darcel scanned the Guard's outfit by using a whitish powder that can detect any potion of magic or poison hidden in the body. When he found that there was no reason to get alarmed he proceeded with the guard.
On the other side of the castle separated from the Prince's headquarter in a grandiose bedchamber man with a red cape plucked on his back stood by waiting, for someone.
"Is the work done?" Asked the man in a monotonous yet threatening voice.
"Y-your Majesty, he was not able to capture that boy and n-now." Said the man, kneeling down.
"Now what, why are you shuddering?say clearly."said the king in a loud voice.
"Now he is dead and that boy left." The soldier said, without shuddering this time but with a scare in his throat.
He was signalled to be excused and he quickly bowed and excused himself.
"Looks like you have become quite capable, my boy." Said the king with a smirk on his face.
