Kirk !! Why didn't you tell me I was going to dance like a man's character? Freen complained to Kirk when he gave her the costume with a mask.
'Oh, now I am confused. Are you a woman? I thought you were a man.. ahahaha.'' Kirk teases her more while laughing his heart out.
Kirk stopped laughing when he noticed the sharpness of Freen's stare at him when the woman had crossed her arms and was standing in front of him .
"Should I laugh now?" Freen said, Kirk realized that his joke was not well received by Freen, and he felt embarrassed for making her uncomfortable.
"Sorry, but you said you don't want to be recognized by anyone in the room while dancing." He quickly apologized and tried to make amends by explaining that he had meant no harm and that he simply thought the costume would be fun.
Freen sighed and just wore the mask and joined the performers lined up behind the curtain of the stage. As the music started, Freen felt a sense of liberation and confidence wash over her. She moved with grace and energy, feeling like a completely different person behind the mask.
The anonymity of the mask allowed her to let go of her inhibitions and fully embrace the performance. Freen felt a newfound sense of freedom and self-expression, grateful for the opportunity to dance without judgment or scrutiny. But when her eyes caught the eyes of the most beautiful person in the crowd, all the people around blurred, and her focus was now fixed on just one and only one person. Her heart skipped a beat as the person she was performing for was now looking at her in amazement, and no happiness would compare to the joy her heart is feeling right now.
For the first time in a long time, the lady finally sees her existence, and she will not waste it; she will cherish and use this chance to show the woman how she adores her, and she will perform with grace and confidence that will put a smile on the woman's lips in the audience.
And Freen felt proud of herself for doing so, and she couldn't help but smile inside that mask despite the difficulty and hot feeling inside her costume. It didn't matter to her anymore as long as she gave her best performance to the only audience that mattered to her now.
As she saw how the man beside the lady held her flute, she looked away and bowed together with the other performers. She knew that she had accomplished her goal of entertaining the crowd and leaving a lasting impression on them. Freen felt grateful for the opportunity to showcase her talent and bring joy to others through her performance.
As Rebecca looks back at her, Freen can't help but feel hurt, as she knows to herself that the lady only admires her as a male performer and not as who she really is, and she already accepted that fact; she looks up to the lady, but the lady would never do the same to her.
Freen's admiration for the lady is too much for her to handle, especially when she always sees the couple inside the mansion as one of their servants. And the hope of being noticed by the lady is impossible, like punching the moon.
''And CUT!!'' Freen's heart sank as the director's voice echoed through the hall, signaling the end of her performance. She reluctantly turned away from the beautiful woman in the crowd, hoping that their eyes would meet again someday.
Becky did look in Freen's direction, but Freen quickly looked away and got into her dressing room. A smile formed on her lips as she got inside the room.
She changed into her casual clothes, as it was her last scene for this day. Freen asked the director for a day off because she had an important thing to do. Becky couldn't stop thinking about Freen and wondered what that important thing could be, as she had accidentally learned about it earlier on her way to the restroom.
Becky was also now dressed in her casual clothes and just looking down at Freen, who is now being assisted by her personal bodyguard, Mr. Jaa, as they enter the car.
Becky was now inside one of the rooms of this big French mansion, which the production company was renting for the shoot of the film.
As Becky and Tee walks around the mansion , Tee can't help but be amazed by the beauty of this place; But becky felt far from it, it has been happening since they arrived here , but she always just shrugs off as she convinces herself it was just the effect of the house as it is;as it look like it has so many hidden events to tell that only the house knows. Becky's unease about the mansion seemed to grow stronger as they explored further, but she didn't want to ruin Tee's excitement. She decided to keep her feelings to herself and continue the tour.
''Becky, look, there is a secret passage here connecting to the other room .'' Tee excitedly called Becky's attention as the latter was busy looking at old paintings stacked at the corner of this tiny room they assumed as an old maids quarter area. Becky's eyes widened with excitement as she turned towards Tee and whispered, "Let's explore it and see where it leads us." They both took a deep breath and entered the passage, eager to uncover the secrets of the old mansion. The passage was dark and narrow, and they had to use their phone flashlights to see where they were going. As they walked further, they heard strange noises and felt a chill run down their spines, but they were determined to find out what lay at the end of the passage.
"Did you hear that?" Tee asked Becky to make sure she wasn't the only one who heard the noise.
"Yes, I'm not deaf, Becky whispered to Tee. "I think we just go back, Tee suggested. Becky hesitated for a moment but then nodded in agreement, realizing that it might not be safe to continue exploring the passage.
They turned around and started making their way back, trying to keep their footsteps as quiet as possible.
When they finally get back, Becky can't help but think about the passage and Maid's Quarter area; it kind of felt nostalgic, and the familiarity of the place is creepily familiar to her, but the passage seemed new to her. It is bothering Becky because this is the first time she has come to this place, but it feels like she has lived here before, which is impossible since she has only lived in the city since birth before they moved to England. As she tried to shake off the feeling, Becky noticed a strange symbol etched on the wall of the passage, which seemed to trigger a distant memory in her mind. She couldn't quite place it, but she knew that it was important and might hold the key to unlocking the mystery of her strange connection to this place.
Becky decides to take a picture of the symbol with her phone so that she can research it later about the history of this old mansion .
As the two finally left the room, a man in a white polo was standing at the end of the passage; his face was not visible because he was looking down, and his straw hat was covering his face. His hands were both inside the pockets of his khaki trousers.
He smiled and looked up, and he looked around this tiny room that seemed to be a storeroom. As he faced the view, you could see a lot of old paintings and documents on boxes. The man in the white polo shirt seemed to be inspecting the paintings and documents with great interest. It was unclear whether he had any connection to the room or its contents. In the corner of the room were old pictures of two people that looked like Freen and Rebecca; those are the pictures that were pinned on the wall of the other room before the production company rented the place.
The man adjusted his trousers as he sat, and he grabbed a picture and held it up: "Your soul is near your happiness." He said this as he looked at the picture with sympathy.
He put it back in the box, stood up, straightened his cramped trousers, and found his way out through a secret passage. The man seemed to be a wise and empathetic person who might have been trying to comfort someone. It's unclear why he had to leave through a secret passage, but it adds an air of mystery to his character.
As they drove their way to the city, Freen was just looking out of the window, lost in thought, contemplating the events of the day and trying to make sense of her emotions.
Her phone lit up, and a picture of a lady wearing a red Victorian dress was in the message she received, which put a smile on her lips. Mr. Jaa smiled at what he saw, as Freen is now sitting in the passenger seat.
''Innocent baby.'' She whispered to herself.
"Yes, ma'am?" asked Mr. Jaa as he heard Freen say that but chose to tease her by asking the obvious.
"Nothing, just keep driving," Freen said with a serious tone. Mr. Jaa Hold his smile and just do as she says.
Ever since the murder of Mr. On Freen, she seems to have changed her attitude towards people; she became distant and cold, and her driver/bodyguard observed that.
Mr. Jaa has been close to Mr. On too, as it is always the three of them in this car, and the two of them always converse whenever they travel, as the old man drives Freen anywhere and Mr. Jaa always sits on the passengers seat as the personal bodyguard of Freen. Their conversations range from politics to sports, and Mr. Jaa is always attentive to ensure the safety of Freen while they travel. Despite their different backgrounds and ages, Mr. Jaa and Mr. On have developed a strong bond over the years due to their shared responsibility of protecting Freen. They have also learned to appreciate each other's perspectives and have become good friends outside of work. Their bond has become so strong that Mr. Jaa and Mr. On have started to hang out outside of work, going to watch sports games or grabbing a drink together. Their friendship has grown beyond just being colleagues, and they have become like family to each other. Their friendship is a testament to the power of shared experiences and mutual respect. It is heartwarming to see how they have transcended their professional roles and have formed a genuine connection that will likely last a lifetime.
And thinking about it made Mr. Jaa feel sad about what happened to Mr. On. He felt guilty for not being able to be there when the old man was needing help and for not noticing that the man was in danger. The man was a very good man who would do such a thing to an old man like him.
They stopped in a secluded area of the city. Mr. Jaa felt a little anxious about this situation, so he secretly notified his team by sending them a code message from his phone. As he sees Freen going, and as she asks him to stay on the car, he can't do it as his duty is Freen's safety. Something is not right in here, Mr. Jaa thought to himself. He saw Freen walking down a secluded alley, and Mr. Jaa was hiding on the corner, observing the place.
"What are you doing here, kid?" What are you planning? Mr. Jaa hissed as he saw how she just stood there leaning on the wall of the secluded alley.
Freen wore a white shirt with long sleeves and black trousers with white sneakers and a black cap.
He was just observing the place while looking over at Freen, who was standing on the secluded hill.
He saw a handsome man wearing a black cap, a mask, a white shirt, a faded blue denim jacket, and faded jeans paired with Converse Chuck Taylor low-cut white sneakers, each side of which was already nearing rip.
Mr. Jaa wondered if the man in the black cap was working with Freen or if he was just a random passerby. He decided to keep observing to see if he could gather more information about their plans.
Mr. Jaa creased his brows when the man just passed by without doing anything suspicious, but his eyes went wide when it ran to his direction and pulled something on its back. He immediately prepared himself when he saw the eyes looking at him sharply .
And when the man was near him, Mr. Jaa was standing there in the middle of the road, waiting for his attack, and it came.
''NO!!'' Freen's voice echoed on that alley.
