Chapter 5 - When A Wyvern Encounters A Dragon

From the sky I could see a settlement that was the HQ of the bandits. After I successfully contracted Crimson, my vision became much sharper and clearer even though the object I saw was in a very far place.

I could see how casually the robbers were talking to each other while cleaning their weapons. Some were enjoying alcohol and some were showing off their loot.

Without turning my head to see the bandit that I managed to catch, I asked him.

"Was there anyone else besides the robbers in that place? A prostitute or maybe the people you managed to kidnap?"

With a strong feeling of dread in his heart, the bandit answered.

"No. No one else, sir. The boss doesn't allow us to bring anyone to the base or they will be killed. If they want to release their sexual desire, they must go to the nearest town. Anyone who goes against the rules of the boss will die by his hands."

Hearing the answer, I put out a satisfied smile. Without hestitation I want to directly pass a judgment on all of them. The proper punishment for them would be to help me raise my level.

"Crimson destroyed that place and everything around it in one strike. Use your lightning breath ability!"

Answering my order, Crimson immediately open his mouth wide as he looked upwards. Electrical energy flowed out of its body and concentrated it in the cavity around its mouth.

Black energy mixed with red agglomerated into a gigantic ball of lightning. Most likely the ball size is almost equal to a meteor. I, who was near the ball could feel how much power it had. I'm sure none of them will be able to survive if this ball of electricity hits the bandits base down there.

The bandits themselves thought that the sky turned cloudy because it would rain. They wouldn't realize that the rain they were about to witness would shock them to death.

"Do it!"

A ball of electricity was ejected by Crimson to the ground below. Possessing a lightning speed, less than a second everything on the ground was instantly destroyed. Even those who were destroyed did not know that death had picked them up. A loud explosion like millions of thunders thundered through the grassland and wasteland regions.

In the end all that was left was a giant crater filled with smoke and lava.

Realized that someone was watching the event with a wide opened mouth. I think this is the right time for me to pose to made a deep impression on the bandit beside me.

Spreading my arms, I closed my eyes and lifted my head. The only drawback to this pose is a cloak or robe which should be fluttering and I don't have anything like that. What I have is only a white shirt and black trousers. The standard clothes when I login for the first time.

Speaking of login I was reminded again that this is not a video game. Looking at the crumbling ground beneath us, I paused for a moment before deciding to check my latest stats.

[Name : Vox Bloodknight]

[Level : 25]

[Age : 17]

[Race : Human]

[Job : Summoner]

[Contracted Creatures : Six-Winged Red Lightning Dragon]

[HP Pool : 43 years left]

[Mana Pool : 340/340]

Apart from my level that increase from level 10 to level 25 and the number of points in mana pool, now I can also use Crimson's other abilities. That ability was lightning breath like the one he just used to annihilate all the bandits and their base.

Of course I don't have the power to match its lightning breath. But the power I currently have is strong enough to deal a fatal wounds or even death to my opponent if I use it. Of course that's if my opponent level is same, below, or maybe a little higher than me. If my opponent level is much higher than mine, I might not even have a chance to attack before my opponent killed me first.

I'm grateful to be able contracting Crimson. Thanks to Crimson, I was able to raise my level to 25 in less than 1 day. Without my contracted Six-Winged Red Lightning Dragon, I might have starved to death or become the prey of monsters in wasteland area.

Drifting into serene silence, the sounds of flapping wings and roars from afar made me refocus and look in one direction.

Not only myself, Crimson and the bandit behind me were also looking in the same direction.

Although the bandit couldn't see clearly, my sense of vision which had improved greatly could clearly see a figure in the distance.

A wyvern was flying towards me and on top of the wyvern was a blond man in a black uniform with red patterns.

My instincts and logic simultaneously said that he was a person named Jean Sowing. The boss of bandit and summoner who abused his honor and duties.

Instead of protecting the people on the contrary he robs and terrorizes the people.

"Crimson, get ready to attack at any moment." I said ordering Crimson to be on full alert.

It seems he came here quickly because of the commotion I just created in his base.

When I thought that he would immediately attack me, it turned out that Jean Sowing did something far more clever. Instead of attacking me, Jean Sowing showed a friendly smile.

"Hi, my name is Michael Seagel. While patrolling in the distance I noticed a large explosion nearby. Seeing the bandit behind you, now I understand. You must have destroyed their base just now."

"Lately there have been many reports of robberies in this place. Who would have thought that you could find them and finish them in one go. You did the right thing. Can you leave him to me? I will deliver him straight to the jail and write a report on your accomplishments."

Instead of answering his request, I turned my face towards the bandit behind me. But the bandit didn't realize my stare because at this moment his face turned pale when he saw the figure that was standing on the head of the wyvern.

Although his voice sounds very low, I could hear what he was saying.

"B-boss, please don't kill me."

I can see if the so called Jean or Michael just smiles ignoring his words and chooses to wait for my answer.

"Sorry but I can't do that Michael or maybe you have another name, Jean Sowing?"

When he heard what I just said, I could see that one of his eyebrows rose up. It's one of the body's responses when someone hear something they knows when they doesn't expect it. It's a natural and instinctual response.

"What do you mean?" he asked.

"You don't need to pretend anymore. I already know everything from your henchman when he accidentally saw all your doings behind your henchmen. What you have kept secret, he found out and he told it to me."

It was at that moment his smiling face turned cold then he quickly ordered his wyvern to attack me and my dragon.

"Consider it your bad luck to know what you shoudn't know. Crescent-Horned Wyvern, use your moon fang ability and bite them!"

Feeling humiliated, I don't even need to order the angry Crimson. My dragon has acted swiftly by using tail swipe to the enemies.

When the wyvern's fangs managed to bite Crimson, the pressure from the dragon's intimidation passive ability made the wyvern loosen its bite before being sent flying by the crimson's tail.

The two attacks just now were the start of a battle between 2 summoners.
