Each movement of his arm caused the fragments of bone in his back to slice and stab into him. However, the adrenaline rushing through his veins made him almost immune to this mental stress.
Once he cocked back his fist a little, he used his razor sharp fins to slash across the man's chest with ferocity.
*FSHH*
Blood, at an alarmingly high speed, soared out from his chest wound. Seeing this chance, the hooded man took a step back before darting in the opposite direction. His speed was immense but the other man was able to chase right after him. The larger man was still quite fast and his dark hair flowed from the shear speed of his run.
*DUM*
The dark, green bin ahead of him caved in under his force as he leapt forward. However, the man was not in his grasp.
To his side, the hooded man had already created around 40 metres of distance in between them and he was gone. Once he saw this, the large man's eyes dilated under the emotions that overwhelmed him.
"What is Hercules gonna do if he finds out I missed this guy?!" He muttered to himself, slowly getting up from one knee.
"I want to join your gang."
"What? Get out of here, kid!" He insisted, lifting off the damaged bin.
"I want to join your gang! You're in a gang right? That's why you just shot something." Brandyn said, being quite insistent on his request.
The man, who was going to immediately refuse the request, began to contemplate giving this kid a chance.
"I'm already getting some form of punishment 'cuz I didn't kill that guy. If I can recruit this kid.. fine."
"Fine. This is a crime scene so go, now! Come back to this street at 9pm tomorrow, do not be late!" He demanded, turning back to run out of the area.
Seeing how quick and urgent his run was, Brandyn took the initiative and charged in the opposite direction. In only seconds, the street was devoid of people and in about a minute, law enforcement had already arrived at the scene.

During the next day of education, the majority of Brandyn's day was spent with Sir Maximilian. He was keen on giving the students a lot of advice and actually giving them several combinations to use. Unlike the first session that they had with him, he continued to try and advise the students, even against their own will.
As much as they wanted to act as if they were experienced and knew what they were doing, the advice always seemed to work.
Brandyn was speedily becoming Sir Maximilian's favourite student since he wasn't reluctant in asking for his help and listening to him.

"385XP until my next level up. If I get no more quests, I'll need to wait 77 days until my next level up if I just do daily quests.. urgh, whatever.." Brandyn thought, as he looked out the window of his high speed train home.
8:31pm.
The time had come. Brandyn started to feel a little uneasy about this upcoming opportunity. His nerves started to go against him and he felt like this wasn't a good decision. However, it was easy to talk himself into doing it since he had been through far worse things before.
8:44pm.
"Time to go.."
Swiftly, Brandyn wore some dark black shoes and a cotton black hoodie. Underneath, he wore a grey polyester shirt and in no time, he was off.
His neighbourhood was quite low income but it was a dense, highly populated neighbourhood. The population was around 80,000 and there were tens of homes on every single street. By 9pm, only 1 or 2 people were in each street.
During these dark, quiet nights, the people of this neighbourhood know better than to stay in the streets. With the noises that they hear in the night, everyone knows the danger of roaming the streets at such hours.
8:58pm.
With his hood up, Brandyn approached the location and was met by a completely empty street. Since he saw no one, he decided to walk to the exact location of the meet-up yesterday.
Silence.
"Where is the guy? He said that we should meet at 9pm?" He wondered.
As he turned the corner to the alleyway, he saw that there was yellow tape plastered across the crime scene with the bold warning, 'DO NOT ENTER' right across it.
"Of course. This was a crime scene, after all."
*tap*
Now a person stood in the street. The same person from the day before.
This time, he made his movements so concealed and he looked exactly like an ordinary citizen. In the blink of an eye, he pointed to the alleyway beside him, which was another diversion that wasn't the crime scene.
Once he did this, he entered the alley and acted as if he was following some map that he had opened.
Brandyn wasn't exactly incompetent and was able to read between the lines, following him into the alley.
"What are you doing, standing in front of the crime scene like that?!" He whispered in annoyance, placing his phone in his back pocket.
The alley was dark and had only two brick walls to the side of it, which were just the walls of the two buildings beside them.
"You know what you're getting into kid. This ain't no fun and games. The only reason I was so lenient with you is because I know where we are. For people here, the only way out is crime."
"I know."
*screech*
The man opened the gate beside him and they then began to take the route out of the neighbourhood.
"You could get killed doing this. Once you join, others will come for you. From our rivals." He explained.
"I won't." Brandyn stated boldly, passing through the gate himself.
