I sat in my seat, patiently waiting for the bell to ring, listening to the faint noise of the clock ticking, the other students' shoes clicking on the hard marble floor and their pencils writing on their papers. "Beatrix Leonora Huxley." Mrs. Stygian called out in a stern voice. I jumped a bit, softly stuttering "Y-yes?". She walked over and slammed her hands on my desk. "I hope you weren't daydreaming. Get back to work, now." She lifted them up slowly and walked away. "Y-yes ma'am!" I said, sitting up and finishing my letter. Cursive hasn't always been my favourite, but now that I'm older, it's a bit easier. I finished my letter and packed it in a small envelope as the bell rang. "Thank you, students. We will continue our work tomorrow. Have a good day." Mrs. Stygian said, dismissing us. I grabbed my books and my small leather bag and walked towards the front of the classroom, handing over the envelope.
