Leaving everything behind was ironically hard. It's funny how it can still hurt you to leave the very people who have hurt you. I will never understand why if I'm being honest.
I'm currently in the plane on my way to my new start in life. I'm nervous and scared of being free. But we will make it work.
Today is Friday. I start university on Monday and I'm nervous because this school seems a lot bigger than the one I went to back home. I will be basically starting where I left off, since I transferred my credits over.
"Hello everyone, this is your captain speaking. Please be seated and fasten your seatbelts. We will be landing momentarily" the caption says through the overcome of the plane.
I quickly put my book and notebook away in my bag and look outside the window. I'm soon to call this place home.

It's currently 12:47am and I just got to the hotel room I'll be staying at until tomorrow, when I can pick up my dorm keys.
I'm so exhausted but I really need to shower first before going to sleep. I guess I can eat tomorrow.
I woke up at 7:30am and went downstairs to the hotel cafeteria and grabbed myself some breakfast before heading to campus and getting my keys.
As soon as I got to the front of the university, I was in shocked by how big this school is. Seeing all of these students pass me by, laughing and talking to their friends made me realize that I was alone in this place.
Walking towards the office of the campus I bumped into a blue haired girl who was walking backwards talking to one of her friends.
"Oh shit, I'm sorry-" I said to the girl while backing up a bit.
"It's okay, that's what I get for not looking where I was going and talking to that idiot over there" she said pointing at the blonde guy she was talking to.
"Well, I'm Maia" I introduced myself with a little wave.
She's pulls me into a hug. "I'm Alyssa"
"I'm assuming you're new here?" Alyssa asks.
I nod " Yup, I'm starting Monday. I'm here to see the dean to get my dorm keys."
"Oh, I can take you to him if you want"
"You can just tell me the building number, I don't want to interrupt your day" I tell her while looking between her and her blonde friend who hasn't said a word to me but keeps on looking at me like I have something on my face.
Alyssa looks at her friend and then back at me "This is Danny, he clearly has an eye problem right now since he just rudely staring at you." She then goes to elbow Danny and he laughs and finally looks away from me to her.
"Sorry, I'm Danny. Nice to meet you" he said and extends his hand to me.
I take his hand and shake it. "Maia, nice meeting you too" - I tried letting go but it was as if his hand was temporarily glued to mine. He finally let go a few seconds later. I wave them bye and start heading to the building Alyssa said the dean would be at.
Upon arriving, I met the dean and got my dorm keys as well as directions on how to get to the dorm and some stuff I need for my firs day of class on Monday.
When I reached my dorm saw there was two bed, each one on opposite walls. Both have a night stand and I can tell I have a roommate. On the left side of the wall I see there are Polaroid pictures and some fairy lights. My side looks plain and boring but I will be fixing that very soon.
I stayed in my room for a while, unpacked my stuff and also getting my bag ready for Monday.
I'm looking over my schedule right now but can't even focus because I'm starving.
Before going to get food, I get my toiletries and head to the dorm bathroom and take a quick shower. After my shower I start to head to the campus cafeteria to get some food and explore a bit.
As I'm walking down the stairs, I get thrown from the last two steps onto the floor by someone strong.
"Fuck, are you okay?" I hear a deep voice ask. I barley see as the guy extends a blurry arm offering me help.
Trying to get up without taking the guys hand, I dust myself off and look at the motherfucker that dropped me.
"I-" I couldn't even speak, I must of hit my head hard because I think I'm seeing a God not a person..
