Chapter 14 - Reunion...

Chapter 14

Sunday morning was bright and comforting. Lauren had slept without dreaming or worrying. She felt rejuvenated and at peace. "Are you awake?" Lauren heard someone say. "Hello, my Future Keeper." The voice was in her head.

"Leventavia? Is that you?" Lauren asked back in her head.

"Yes. Isn't this wonderful? I can talk to people without having to leave my chamber!" Leventavia sounded as excited as a child at Christmas. "I haven't had this much freedom since I was a child. It's hard to be all about if you are the protector of all you can see. You will learn soon that being in charge can be a lonely position."

Lauren had thought about that and remembered when she watched Evandalyn, but the fairies never let Evandalyn be alone. Leventavia couldn't really be alone. After all, she had seven husbands and a multitude of children. Tom at present was keeping her company. Lauren decided that loneliness is a choice of a state that we choose to be in and only as bad as the individual saw it.

Once down with the others, Lauren joined them for breakfast. As an even more shocking point, Leventavia also joined them. The smile of all those around brightened the world even more. Joy was heard from all. Their mother rejoined their family. Children brought her interesting things or played patty-cake with her. They sang songs and danced. It was a joyous occasion.

Lauren really wanted to become more proficient in her skills so she could be sure to preserve this glorious feeling of love and happiness.

"Now that so many new members have been added, there should be an explosion of colts and fillies born," Leventavia stated. " I'm not the only eligible female now. Thirty-five females of mating age now including you."

Shocked, "I'm not a unicorn! I shouldn't be counted." Lauren said.

"Of course, you are counted. Just ask Evandalyn. She has three colts here. But don't worry, dear, no rush."

Another thing to discuss with Evandalyn. Lauren really had a lot to learn. "I will ask her about it. This has been a lovely visit."

"Yes, I am so happy you are going to be with us from now on."

"Me too." Lauren began to look around and spotted Peter. He was surrounded by several scantily clad women, being hugged so tightly that he looked like he was having trouble breathing. The women were crying and laughing at the same time.

Peter caught sight of Lauren and guided the group over to her. "My lady. These are the ladies that raised me."

'I thought you had forgotten who raised you." Lauren said. Then she remembered that she found that out through her discernment. "I mean it's nice to meet you all."

Peter smiled and resumed, "These beautiful ladies raised me until I was about 10. She is my birth mother." Peter pulled a fiery-haired woman forward. She bowed and curtsied.

"Thank you. Thank you all for bringing my son back to me. I thought him dead. The witch's men took him from me because he was in the back chamber where I work. They said he needed to learn to be a man. I knew they would abuse him, but I didn't know how to get him back. I told Cosh what happened when he came to visit, but I never got news about my son."

"I was rough when he found me. He asked me if I wanted to go back to you, but I told him no. Not until I was well and whole again. The wholeness didn't come until I found my place with the future keeper. So, I am now here. I thought I was going to have to search for you, but Leventavia brought you to me."

"I'm happy you are back together," Lauren said.

Peter smiled and guided the group to an area under a giant oak. They sat down and shared stories the rest of the night.

"And then there was Jon.". Leventavia said.

"What about Jon?" Lauren asked.

"He is a heaven realm unicorn, and he is unmated. That will not do."

"What do you mean?"

"If he stays unmated the heaven guard will come for him. He was fine when he was in the shadows, but now he will be by your side as a part of your Entourage. He must be mated."

"I didn't know."

"Of course not, dear. To solve the problem, you just need to mate with him.

"What? I don't think…" Lauren stuttered.

Leventavia laughed. "Or he can choose one of the lovely females that are here, but she would have to join your ranks. If you are okay with that, then that would work."

"Let's ask Jon. He would need to make the choice for himself but mating with me is not something I am ready for. I'm still trying to get used to magic. I'm not ready."

"Smart. Glad you know who you are." Leventavia smiled observantly. "Now, let's find Jon.

"What? I have to mate or be hunted down by heaven? I haven't been in heaven for years. Maybe no one will recognize me." Jon stated.

"Jon dear, I recognized you. You are too beautiful to not be recognized. For your own safety, mate. You have the right to live your life without having to hide." Leventavia replied.

"Yes. Go find you a lady and you can bring her back with you to join us." Lauren added.

"I have a lady," Jon replied.

"Oh. Who is she?" Leventavia asked.

"Sylvia," Jon replied.

"The silver unicorn? Oh, she is a lovely choice. Go make things final with her and bring her to meet the future keeper."

"Are you sure? He asked.

"Yes. Of course." Lauren replied. With that, Jon took off to find Sylva. Sylva quickly agreed to join the entourage.

"You know you will need a few more single females in your entourage if you are not mating. I will choose two more to round out your number."

"Thank you."

"So, will you try to free the pegasus from the witch also?" Treesa walked up and asked.

"I didn't know that she had them," Lauren said, startled.

"Yes. Somewhere like she had us. She is trying to store power so she can break the hold of the keepers and the keys. She wants to be able to travel from realm to realm. She has all the black or negative powers under her control, but she only had us and the pegasuses."

"Well, let's find them and free them also. I want to free any beings that don't want to be under her control."

"The battle for the keys begins." Leventavia proclaimed.
