Hi guys, hope you've all been doing well, a couple weeks ago I was seeing comments from a reader of mine that he would like it if I could continue posting CHAPTERS for this fic. in my head I was saying no, because this fic is inconsistent.
But then it clicked to my head, you guys just enjoy content, not if it's consistent with the OG anime/manga.
...
"Brother Ron, Sister Robin, she..." Kaya tried to help Robin speak, but Ron interrupted her with a slight wave of his hand.
"No need to say more. We respect Robin's choice, and there's no need to worry about it!" Ron smiled. "Anyway, we're all together now, and there will be plenty of opportunities in the future. When Robin is truly ready to join us, I'll help her fully unlock her Devil Fruit abilities!"
"Thank you," Robin whispered, glancing at Ron. "I'll think about joining the Sword and Rose Pirates..."
Robin contemplated the many struggles she'd been through, being relentlessly pursued by the World Government. If she joined Ron's pirate crew, it might bring them a lot of trouble.
The group returned to the hotel with piles of clothes. After spending another night at the inn, Ron asked the other girls to stay back while he took Robin out, primarily to gather news.
"Do you believe in the legend of Sky Island?" Robin asked Ron curiously as they walked together. "These are just fairy tales and myths on Jaya Island. I asked several people, and no one thinks Sky Island actually exists."
"Yeah, no one believes it," Ron replied with a soft smile. "They laugh at our supposed ignorance."
"Then why do you still believe it exists?" Robin questioned, puzzled.
"Look at this," Ron said, pulling out a map of Jaya Island. He pointed to a huge gap in the middle of the island. "There used to be a large section here, which was once part of Jaya Island. But it vanished. Where did it go?"
Robin frowned, shaking her head. It was indeed strange for such a large piece of land to disappear.
"That lost part went to the sky!" Ron stated confidently. "It was taken up by some mysterious force and became part of Sky Island!"
Ron, being familiar with the original events, spoke with certainty. His intention behind bringing Robin along was clear—he wanted to sway her to join his crew.
"An island... in the sky?" Even Robin, as intelligent as she was, found the concept hard to grasp. What kind of power could lift an island into the sky without it ever falling? It seemed impossible.
"You don't believe it either?" Ron smiled. "That's why the people of Jaya Island, even though they know a part of the island disappeared, assume it sank into the sea. They never consider the possibility that it flew into the sky. But I believe it did."
"So, did we come out to gather information just to find this island?" Robin asked, already suspecting Ron's bold plan to search for it in the sky.
"Exactly. I believe the force that lifted the island comes from the ocean, and I want to find out when it will happen again. Then, we can ride that force up to the island!" Ron explained.
Robin paused. "Isn't Mikita able to fly? Why not send her up first to check if Sky Island is real before we go looking for this strange force?"
"Haha!" Ron chuckled. "You still don't believe it exists, do you? Well, I don't blame you. The idea is pretty far-fetched. But you'll see when we get there. As for Mikita, she's just one person. There's a powerful force on Sky Island—she wouldn't be able to handle it alone. It's better if we all go together."
Ron was well aware that Enel, with his immense power, resided on Sky Island. Only he could defeat him; Vivi and Tashigi wouldn't stand a chance, and neither would Mikita.
The two of them headed to the beach, asking many of the local fishermen about the coastline, eventually determining the time when the mysterious force would reappear.
From the fishermen, they learned that it was a phenomenon caused by an undersea volcanic eruption, which could propel water to incredible heights. They thought it was merely a natural occurrence, but Ron knew this was the way to reach Sky Island.
"Let's head back. In four days, we'll ride this underwater torrent to the sky," Ron said with a smile, leading Robin back to the hotel.
Four days later, the Going Merry set sail again. After calculating the timing, they arrived at the spot where the underwater torrent was about to erupt.
After half a day of waiting, a deep, powerful rumble emerged from the depths of the sea.
Rumble!!!
A powerful current surged upward from the ocean floor, lifting the Going Merry high into the air.
"Wow!!" Kaya and Apis screamed in unison.
Seeing the Going Merry ascending into the sky was a shock. They thought Ron might have been teasing them, but this? They hadn't expected this at all!
After all, Sky Island seemed like something out of a fairy tale—how could it possibly exist?
But now... it seemed it might be real!
"Everyone, sit tight!" Ron shouted. "Sky Island is 10,000 meters above us, and we still have a long way to go. Don't get thrown off by the current!"
"Got it!" Kaya clung tightly to Ron's arm. Even as she stood on the shaky deck, she wasn't scared. With Ron by her side, she felt completely safe.
On Ron's other side stood Apis and Makino.
Meanwhile, Vivi and Tashigi, strong in their own right, held on to Nojiko and Nami, stabilizing themselves as they watched the magical scene in awe.
Mikita, Robin, and the other girls weren't fazed either, holding their ground effortlessly.
As the Going Merry soared higher, white clouds drifted below their feet. The torrent of water continued to push them up into the sky, seemingly unstoppable.
After a while, Ron finally saw a massive white cloud in the sky. His mind clicked—this was Sky Island. He shouted excitedly, "Look at that huge white cloud! That's where Sky Island should be! Hold on tight; we're heading straight for it!"
Rumble!!!
The Going Merry pierced through the soft white clouds, and at last, they reached the first layer of Sky Island.
"This... this place is gorgeous!" The girls were wide-eyed, amazed by the ocean on the clouds. The scenery was breathtaking.
"This isn't the real Sky Island yet," Ron said with a grin. "This is just the first layer. We need to go higher to reach where the real Sky Islanders live."
"There's more?" Nami asked in surprise, gazing upwards. Sure enough, their was another layer of clouds floating above their heads.
The Going Merry followed the clouds to a massive gate. Ron knew that this was the entrance to where the true islanders lived.
