Ather met Sun Tzu during their practical training session, where students were divided into teams to complete various tasks. Sun Tzu's team had already completed the task, and he was leaning against a nearby wall, reading a book.
Ather approached him, curious to learn more about this top student. "Hi, I'm Ather," he said.
Sun Tzu looked up from his book, sizing Ather up. "I know who you are," he said dismissively. "You're the loser who got a system from his mom."
Ather felt a twinge of anger at the insult, but tried to remain calm. "What's wrong with getting a system from my mom?" he asked.
"Real men earn their systems through hard work and dedication," Sun Tzu replied. "But I suppose a weakling like you wouldn't understand that."
Ather could feel his blood boil at Sun Tzu's arrogance, but he tried to keep his cool. "I may have gotten my system from my mom, but I'm still working hard to improve it," he said. "What about you? What's your story?"
Sun Tzu smirked. "My father is a prominent figure in China's parliament. I've been given every opportunity to succeed, and I've earned my position through my intelligence and hard work."
Ather couldn't help but feel a pang of envy at Sun Tzu's opportunities, but he tried not to let it show. "Well, I'm sure you're very talented," he said diplomatically.Sun Tzu rolled his eyes. "Don't patronize me," he said. "I'm the best in this class, and you're just a lowly second-rate student. You should be honored to be in my presence."
Ather could feel his patience wearing thin, but he tried to stay calm. "I'm not interested in fighting with you," he said. "We're classmates, and we should try to work together."
Sun Tzu snorted. "I don't work with weaklings like you," he said. "But don't worry, I'll take care of everything myself. Just stay out of my way."
With that, Sun Tzu returned to his book, leaving Ather standing there, feeling frustrated and defeated. He knew he had a lot of work to do to earn Sun Tzu's respect, but he was determined to do it, no matter how arrogant or difficult the other boy was.
