The base had protocols and procedures to deal with the undead. Hollywood movies make it look easy to kill a zombie but in reality it is not. Guns are useless against these monsters, because to kill one you have to completely separate the head from its body, but it's not easy, let alone it is dangerous getting near them, they have a bite force similar to a tiger. The base had security procedures for getting in, such as giving our names, medical problems, skills, and stuff we are interested in, that's all to decide where we will be useful. We get paper dog tags because they don't have the time and material to make medal dog tags, the paper dog tags are to distinguish who we are and which area we are in. This story begins 3 weeks before the world ends.
