A few weeks after Ather met Indrajeet, the school was abuzz with excitement. Dasagriva, Indrajeet's father, was coming to visit the school.
The principal had gone out of his way to make sure everything was perfect for the visit. Ather had never seen him so nervous before. The school was already impressive, but the principal had ordered extra cleaning and maintenance to make sure everything was just right.
Ather and Indrajeet were standing in the courtyard, waiting for Indrajeet's father to arrive. They watched as the principal greeted Dasagriva's ship, and a small entourage of officials and assistants stepped out.
Dasagriva himself was a tall, imposing man with piercing eyes and a commanding presence. He looked every inch the successful businessman, with his tailored suit and expensive watch.
The principal rushed over to greet him, followed by a number of teachers and staff. Ather and Indrajeet hung back, not sure if they were supposed to approach him.
But before they could decide what to do, Dasagriva turned to them. "And who are these young men?" he asked, his voice deep and authoritative.
The principal stepped forward to introduce them, and Ather felt a shiver run down his spine as he shook Dasagriva's hand. He had never met anyone with such a strong presence before.
To his surprise, Dasagriva was cordial and even friendly towards them. He asked them about their studies and their goals, and Ather found himself relaxing in the face of his warmth.
But as the conversation continued, Ather couldn't help but feel a sense of unease. There was something about Dasagriva's demeanor that made him uneasy, almost as if he was trying to get something out of them.
As they said their goodbyes, Ather felt relieved. He wasn't sure he wanted to be around someone like Dasagriva for too long.
But as they walked away, Indrajeet turned to Ather. "What do you think of my father?" he asked.
Ather thought for a moment. "He's certainly impressive," he said. "But there's something about him that's a little intimidating."
Indrajeet nodded. "That's just his personality. He can be tough, but he's also fair. He's done a lot of good in the world."
Ather wasn't sure if he agreed, but he trusted Indrajeet's judgment. They continued on their way, heading back to their dormitories.
As they walked, Ather couldn't shake the feeling that Dasagriva was up to something. He wasn't sure what it was, but he had a feeling that it wouldn't be good.
