It's been three days since Yunyun joined the fantastic dreamer. She has gotten used to living in the mansion with Megumin and Aqua. She's also getting some confidence back after I introduced everyone about her at the guild.
Right now is my usual magic and skill training in a large training area near the guild. There's a bunch of adventurers, thieves, and mages sitting on the ground in a neat line in front of me. I stood in front of them with Yunyun standing beside me.
"Alright everyone, our lesson today is about defeating powerful human opponent," I pat Yunyun's back and she waved at everyone shyly. "The opponent I'm talking about, for example, is Yunyun. She has mastery over, many, many advanced magic spells."
I looked at a dozen or so adventurers my age staring at Yunyun. A look of familiarity could be seen on their faces.
"Ano, sensei, is Yunyun related Megumin sama?" a blue haired adventurer raised his hand.
"They're both from the same clan, the Crimson Demon Clan," I explained. "You can tell from her red eyes, her weird name, and a unique tattoo on a certain part of her body,"
"Kazuma!" Yunyun said in slight embarrassment.
I just chuckled in response before turning to the other adventurers. "Now, I'm sure it goes without saying that beating her in a fair fight is out of question, so, can anyone here tell me the best way to kill her?"
Yunyun turned towards me with a horrified look on her face.
"K-kill me?"
A bunch of adventurer, a few thieves, and a mage raised their hands. "Okay, I want to hear it from an adventurer, a thief, and a mage. Starting with the thief, you, go!"
The thief, a dark haired man wearing light leather vest nodded a little. "Well, first I have to figure out where she lives, after that I just sneak in the middle of the night and kill her in her sleep," he explained.
"Continuing that line of thought, how would you kill her?"
The thief looked down in deep thought before looking at Yunyun. "Slitting her throat?"
I turned towards the pale-faced Yunyun. "Well, will that be enough to kill you?"
"H-how am I supposed to answer that?!" Yunyun bit her lip and shook her head. "Unless it's an enchanted blade…" she then put out both of her hands. "B-but please don't kill me!"
"Okay then, a bit dependent on equipment, but not that bad," then I turned towards a female adventurer with light red hair. "You, how would you kill her?"
"I'd drug her!"
"Hiie!"
"Not bad, but how though?"
"I will steal something from her, then drug her drink while pretending to return it to her," the adventurer explained. "Then, once she's weakened, I'll use the water freeze suffocation assassination technique on her."
"Water Freeze Assassination?" Yunyun turned towards me.
"Using Create Water to forcefully pour water into an opponent's throat then use Freeze to freeze the water, thus suffocating you to death and also silencing the enemy."
"N-no!"
The adventurer looked a bit disappointed after hearing that.
"It wouldn't work?"
"No, I mean, don't do that!!!" Yunyun yelled. "Why are you teaching your student how to kill me?"
"Okay, so it might work," then I turned towards the only mage that dared to raise her hand. "Lastly, you, how would you beat Yunyun given she's better than you in your expertise?"
The mage, a blonde haired young girl wearing a purple cloak lowered her hands. She turned to her friends and they whisper furiously with each other about something. Finally, the blonde seemingly relented before standing up.
"I-I can demonstrate it, sensei… Don't worry, it wouldn't be a killing blow, more like knocking her out," she said.
I grinned at that and grabbed Yunyun who's about to fled away by her cloak. "Alright, show me how it's done, I'll ask Aqua to revive her if you do kill her, so don't hold back okay?" I told her.
The mage stood up from her position and walked towards Yunyun. The other mages gave her a thumbs up so I'm guessing there's some team discussion being put here. She stood in front of Yunyun and bowed a little.
"Wa-wait! I surrender! Please don't kill me!" Yunyun yelled in genuine fear.
"So, what's your name?" I asked the mage.
"Linda," the mage said.
"What level are you Linda?"
"Level fifteen,"
"Job?"
"Wizard,"
I gave her a thumbs up before looking back at Yunyun. "Well, Yunyun you are about to get attacked. How are you going to fight back?"
"Paralyze!"
"Telepoaah…"
Yunyun's voice suddenly turned gibberish. She yapped her mouth repeatedly, but no coherent words came out. Then, a midst her confusion, Linda cast another spell.
"Sleep!"
Yunyun's eyes fluttered a little but she stood tall.
Linda narrowed her eyes and held up her hand. "Highness Magic, Sleep!"
Yunyun was knocked unconscious and Linda dropped to her knees in exhaustion.
The whole class clapped their hands at Linda's performance. The mage in question just rubbed the back of her head sheepishly and gave the other mages a thumb up.
"Amazing performance Linda!" I exclaimed. "Can you explain what you did there?"
"W-well, I used the spell paralyze on her tongue to mute her and stopping her from using spells," she explained simply. "Then I use the sleep spell to put her to sleep. Though, I did have to use Highness Magic and deplete all my mana so…"
I helped her on to her feet and took out a manatite battery necklace. "This is your reward for your amazing performance," I told her.
The mage gasped a little as she took the necklace with both hands. "Thank you so much sensei,"
"You're welcome, now go back to your friends,"
Once the mage went back I turned to the rest of the class. "Now, as you can see, when facing a human opponent you can utilize the more insidious types of magic such as paralyze and sleep. Although most humans are powerful, they're still susceptible to standard human weaknesses."
An adventurer raised his hand. "Sensei, why can't we just paralyze our foe's heart?"
I nodded a little. "Good question, why don't we just paralyze our foe's heart? Well then it's time for a little crash course biology," I used drain touch to gently wake Yunyun up and have her stand beside me.
"Wh-what is it Kazuma, eh?" Yunyun exclaimed when I pointed at her large breast. Some of the male adventurers giggled perversely while the girls just shook her heads at their immaturity.
"Okay, now the heart is a type of muscle, but it's a muscle that works involuntarily. You don't have to consciously pump blood through your body, now, do you?" I asked them.
"No sensei!"
"That's right, but other parts of the body, for example," I grabbed Yunyun's arm and lifted it up. "the arm has to be moved consciously for them to work."
Everyone nodded at my explanation, it's actually common sense and not an obscure fact, but they knew that if I need to explain it again, then it's important.
"Now, the paralyze spell works by stopping the input from the brain. So that you cannot consciously use your muscle," I explained. "It works wonders on arms, legs, and your tongue. But when you use it on the heart or the digestive muscle, it doesn't do anything."
"However, there is a very important muscle that can work both automatically and manually. That is, your diaphragm," I pat Yunyun's stomach a little. "Some of you right now might be aware of your own breathing."
Suddenly, Linda, the mage that went forward, jerked forward. She put a hand on her stomach as her eyes widened in shock. Her mouth gaped open as she tried to wheeze air out of her lungs. Her friends quickly came towards her in panic.
"Break Spell!" I exclaimed and Linda started gasping for air. "Sorry, sorry, I couldn't help it. Are you alright Linda? Heal!" I asked while casting heal on her.
"I-I'm okay…" she said, still out of breath. "You've put me under the spell for a while now, didn't you sensei?"
"Yep!" I smirked at the look of awe everyone gave me. "And that, my friend, is the voice activated suffocation method," I explained. "If you were to hit the diaphragm with paralysis spell, nothing will happen since it works automatically. But if you were to remind them of their own breathing, the muscle became active and the more they struggle to breathe, the more active the muscles become."
Everyone else just nodded mutely at my explanation.
"Any questions?"
A thief raised his hand. "Then, how do we get around it?"
"Good question!" I turned towards Linda and smiled a little. "How about you give me a taste of my own medicine?"
Everyone looked at Linda who suddenly became the star of today's lesson. She took out her wand and pointed it at me. "No hard feelings sensei!" she exclaimed.
The spell hit me and I can't feel my stomach or my lungs anymore.
"As you can see, I can still speak. Now, the moment I stop speaking, I will suffocate. As for why I can breathe, it's because when you speak, your lungs work automatically to keep the words flowing out," I concentrated on a song with a very high lyric and managed to gasp some air.
"If you can't muster enough self control, then flee immediately. This trick won't kill you, because the moment you fall unconscious, you will start breathing again. But really, you don't want to fall unconscious in front of your enemy."
"Yes, Sensei!"
I cast a silent break spell. "That said, there is one cruel practical joke I can teach you," I pointed at Yunyun's crotch much to her embarrassment. "Bladder control is both voluntary and involuntary, and most people won't notice it until it's too late."
A devious grin formed on the mage's faces. The thieves and the low level adventurers started to look at the mages in fear. Coupled by the fact that most mages are girls, it's basically a way for them to take revenge on all the 'Steal' pranks the thieves in the guild has done.
"Alright, we have a short break and then we'll start our support spell and support skill lesson."
